High all sign below if you would like to see the mass of your xwing incressed i know i do :d i know its not fair on the imperials so if imps are reading what ship would u like to see incressed in mass size? hope the devs read this and comply happy gaming Nix

X-Wing masses are just fine as it is.. my X-Wing's formiddable as hell with the following set-up:



X-Wing - 100396 mass total

Reactor: 12727.7 rate, 6596 mass

Engine: 92.2 top spd, 13766 mass

Shield: 1865 front/back, 11.85 recharge, 16988 mass

Front Armor: 600.2 A/H, 2965 mass

Black Armor: 622.2 A/H, 3916 mass

Capacitor: 46.4 recharge, 4479 mass

Booster: 1980 energy, 198 cnsmp, 36.3 acel, 25.0 top spd, 3150 mass

Droid Interface: 15.0 spd, 501 mass

Weapon 1: 1487-2875, .48/.48, 14581 mass

Weapon 2: 1487-2875, .48/.48, 14581 mass

Weapon 3: 1533-2552, .91/.13, 14506 mass

No Ordnance

No Countermeasure

R2 droid: Engine Overload 3, Reactor Overload 3, Weapon Overload3, and Capacitor Overcharge 3


Speed with foils closed and engine overload 3: 1138
Speed with foils closed, engine overload 3, and booster: 1375
Speed with foils open, and engine overload 3: 1081
Speed with foils open, engine overload 3, and booster: 1306

that is a nice setup. I use that same engine in my Bwing and get over 1000 speed with engine overload 3. need to use cap overcharge 4 because the 4 guns drain it so fast. I usually have shields set to the rear because it takes alot of hits from escort fighters.

use weapons overcharge 3 for now.. its bugged so that it makes your weapons use less energy and more damage *grin*

The only problem I see with the X-wing is its out of scale, look how big it is next to a B-wing and Y-wing, it should be smaller (with a smaller hitbox that is).

Do you have *ANY* clue what I could do with 100k of mass?

My primary ship is still the Advanced, and through MASSIVE REing and loot gathering, I've managed to fully equip it and still have 12000 units of mass left over. I have an Oppressor, but I've managed to fit everything I'd NEED on one into an Advanced, so it's gathering dust.

If I had even 70k of mass on the Advanced (a paltry 5k), I could make miracles happen.

The mass on the X is just fine.

Engine: L6 96 speed quest engine
Shield: L7 1900/1900 11.6 recharge player made
Reactor: L3 13900 Loot
Capacitor: L2 700 energy 39 recharge Loot
Droid Int.: L1 22 speed Loot
Armor: None
Armor: None
Booster: None
Weapon 1: L7 2800 max Blaster player made
Weapon 2: L7 2800 max Blaster player made
Weapon 3: L8 3700 max Incom Tri-cannon quest blaster

Everything RE'd except the L8 blaster.
Droid commands: Engine, Reactor, & Weapons Overload3 commands.

I have little problem venturing to Kessel solo. Run Tier 4 duty missions frequently
with no trouble. IMO the X is fine where it's at. Making this ship any stronger would
lead to a nerf down the road.

Xwings should NOT have more mass. They are overpowered as it is...

I have a very effective X-Wing with a mix of RE'd and custom crafted components. But just like the ones already listed it's centerpiece is the reward engine which is no longer in the game. The only way I've been able to attain similar characteristics is with an RE'd level 8 at twice the mass.So whileI do not think that X-Wing's (or any other ships') mass needs to be adjusted, Ido think we need either better craftable engines or better looted engines in the game.

if you guys think the xwing is overpowered youd hate my rix.


with a mass of 190k with even just a liiitle work your not mass restrained for all intents and purposes.


compare that to the xwing that is limited to just 100k. (imps dont go there, i know you guys have it rough)

i can see whythe rebs would want to have another 10-20k on the xwing...

dont think its gonna happen tho.


the Factional space craft have their limits for a reason, the reward is the ability to fly something from the movies. thats the same reason that the yt-1300 has one less missle launcher, its iconic (and not primarily military owned) and therefore has its capability diminished in some way to balance its desirability.


if you as a rebel want something heavier to dogfight with, fly the y-wing. you can drop 2 huge guns and huuuge shields on her.

I think there is a misconception that mass=ultimate advantage. Anyone who has flown a B-Wing would know that is not the case.

IMO I think mass should be increased not much but about 10k. The ppl with the real nice setups are also the ppl that play all the time and probably have alot of money. For some ppl getting high quality parts is expensive. I recently talked with a shipwright on Chilastra who said he would make all the parts for an A-wing (not includeing chassis) for around 1mil. Now the a wing has alot less options than the X, so if an A-wing is 1mil I could only imagine what an X-wing would be.

As for getting parts RE'd that can take alot of time. Given alot of shipwrights may RE the parts for free, theres still the matter of how long it takes to loot quality parts that are worth having RE'd.
