in the videos it seems the ship are going rather slow what do u guys think about this and what have u herdor noticed

You sure they're slowed? The framerates seemed pretty smooth to me. Got a post that says that? Not trying to shot you down, (hell I want them to be faster) just want to know ^^

One of the devs was asked at the fan fest and he said that in the demo's they were travelling at about half speed so he could get a good shot or something like that.

Yeah I just watched the fan fest vids and the speed was definitely bumped up. It's showing more and more promise

Will the ships actually move faster than 2mph like they do in all of the demo movies?

Obviously.
And they're not going 2mph... it's like when you're in a plane -- you're going like 300mph but it feels and looks no where near that number.
Or they could have just slowed it down to show all the people-creatures it in better detail.

The DEVs did already state that they only flew at 50% during demos too show off the graphics...

THANKGOD lol, i remember that seen in teh asteroid field when the Millenium falcon did like a really quick split S and the 2 ties went whipping down right after it.

In the recent interview with Mr. Hayden you saw many clips from jtls. The very first thing i noticed was how slow the ships were going. I mean really...the ties weren't exactly "screaming" throught the screen. All of the ships were way to slow. I hope that those clips were in slow-mo or something because that was just...not good (put nicely). I think the speed of the ships is an essential part of the game. Do you think the devs will fix this?

I think it said somewhere they were moving at half speed so you can see the graphics, in some similar post to this a while ago.

watch episode 4 again ull c that the ships look as though they go slow their as well. the final battle i mean.

I think thats also because theres so much space in space that you cant really see how fast anything goes 'cause the nearest thing is a planet or the starry sky.
