Thread: Did I read this right?

I read somewhere, or heard in-game, that with the next patch or patches when a CH sends a pet after a target, the target will NOT attack the pet, but will turn on the pet's handler.

Is this correct?

they do that already sometimes, if your pet doesnt hold the aggro, they will attack you. but they were thinking of overall better AI. the targets will attack doctors who are healing and maybe even CHs. But most likely if you stick an aggro pet on the creature/npc, that the pet will hold it.

No. As usual, a few people aren't capable of reading properly and like to exaggerate. All the devs did was to post some ideas on how to "enhance" combat. They never said it would go live at all, and most certainly not next patch.

Stratics has the post up as Oct 7th news.

The way I read the jedi archives 2 was that the number of professions you have mastered only helps once you done the Jedi quest which gives you force sensitivity and opens a second charater slot, only then will the number of professions you have mastered be converted into skill boxes which you can use to purchase the force skill you would like.

If this is right then that means the 12 professions I've done so far won't help me get force sensitivity and that it will take me just as long to get a second slot as someone who just brought the games yesterday!

p.s

I'm a Wookie! do the devs really think for one moment I'm happy about my main being a Jedi?

p.p.s

I also just got master smuggler, do the devs think I'll be happy to drop this and not be part of the smuggler revamp at the end of the year?

To me it sounded like you didnt get "skill boxes" just another box in this new system they have to get force sensitive. so you wont be getting another skill box for your old master profs..just a "quest box" i guess. haha

Got that off the friday feature page and if im understanding this right a nuetral pilot taking the wrong mission can give them a tef to rebel or imperial ships?

If so all i gotta say is sweeeeet.

yep you read it right... and im in the same reponse as you BOOOYAAAHH BAABY! that statment there reminds me of the old flight sim game with the same namew... PRIVATEER

If your saying he is correct and you do get a TEF you are wrong. There is NO TEF what so ever... it probly means some of your missions will involve NPC Tie fighters... seeing as you will be a criminal and all... they will be trying to stop you. But for players and the majority of Imp NPCs... no, no tef.

In that same FF it sys there is no TEF. Only Overt or non-overt. Though NPC's can likely attack you if you do something that makes them need too, but PC's won't be able to unless you want them too.

There will be no TEFs, of course there can always be NPC TEFs (meaning NPCs will be more likely to attack you) but only way for players to attack you without you consenting first is for you to be Overt.

You won't have a TEF to Rebel or Imperial players.

Man did I love that game. Freelancer is kind of like it, too. Very very sweet games, both of them.
