do you have to complete the mission to fly the jedi starfighter? if so, why would they give all the pilots the ability to fly it?

currently, yes. So if you switch factions, you don't lose the ability to use your quest reward.

From my understanding anyone can use it.
As I mentioned in the Grievous thread... I have his ship, as an Imp Ace I can fly it.

Yep anyone with any faction (neutral included) 4333 pilot skill can fly it, considering they have done the quest.
Having said that, I have successfully gone Imp, done the quest, and regrinded rebel Pilot and am loving the JSF ![]()

What is the actual certification name for an the Jedi Starfighter ship?
I know in the past if a rebel went imperial and got the ship he could fly it as long as he got back up to 4xxx pilot in rebel pilot as long as he had the ship and badge, is this still the same or is it imperial pilot 4xxx as the requirement?

the certification is 4333 any pilot. its still the same to my knowledge. i was master reb pilot. dropped it and went imp for the mission. just novice imp pilot (gotta admit is was cool flying a tie for the first time) did the mission. got the deed. slapped vader
went back reb pilot. soon as i got 4333 deeded the ship and all worked well. amazing ship to fly but the greivous has the exact same stats. only difference is the jsf has a tiny tiny hitbox. so if ya pvp i would recommend the jsf. if not then the greivous since those are easy to get. hope this helps man.

I have read the quest guide on to get the ETA-2 actis interceptor, or 'Jedi Starfighter" many times- and I havea question that i need answered before i surrender all my rebel faction and pilots skills to go get the ship- do you need to do the space mission vader gives you, after giving you the fighter deed, in order to be able to unpack and flythe jedi fighterwhen i grind up to rebel pilot 4-3-3-3?
If it's not necessary, i'm gonna go get the fighter- but if it is, that would mean i'd have to grind up imperial pilot as well as being an imperial on the ground, and that's a little more work than i can stomach right now. So- can anyone who's only done the ground quests, gotten the deed, and then gone back to rebel or neutral pilot without doing vader's space quest definitively answer the question? Can we fly it without doing the space bit?
Answers would be greatly appreciated.
