the only discussions i ever heard about some sort of permadeath was becomming a blue glowie for a specified amount of time... if u got killed a certain amount of times within a certain time frame... heh make sense?

to me .. pushing anything on a player of this magnitude encourages player griefing to a hole new higher level.. so then will u not only have BH's trying to make u lose XP, u now have them trying to disabel your character for a week or so... and any companty that doesnt condone that type of gaming , isnt thinking ..

anything they do in the game that allows one player to punish another, one sided (bh vs jedi)..will only encourage griefing, on a much higher plain.......read any bh topic on xp loss... they love making u lose it, could u imgine if a player had the power in his hands to make your toon unusable for a week or even worse... start over and lose all your skills.!!!! the prob is its all one-sided.. a player can do it to you but you cannt do anything back..

They already have a system for controlling the jedi population,hordes of respec BH with ranged damage the makes lightsaber damage seem laughable, lightsaber resistant armor, "elemental" damage ? I'm about to hang up my robes and saber, Jedi as a profession is a joke... Master Lightsaber was once respected now it's just laughed at...

This does no such thing. Bounty Hunters don't control crap. Nobody has ever posted an "I'm too far in the hole from BH kills so I'm quitting!" thread. The CU drove many people out, and many Jedi players have even eBay'd their Jedi from frustration with the overall game, but Bounty Hunters don't control [edit].

What is needed is an exit system for Jedi, which permits the player to keep the toon they have worked so hard for, and everyone knows it.

If they bring back perma death I think they should bring back corpse runs too! Oh and bring back 10 min shuttle waits! Oh and get rid of speeders and mounts too! Considering gameplay (especially solo) is nerfed post CU, may as well bring back the rest of the gameplay we had in June 2003...since that's how far we've regressed.

Aww, I wanted to hear from the Gorath smith who could get 7000 across the board and four sockets in every piece!

Not possible to get 7000 across the board, 6000 is hard cap before layers/slice and layers always lower something as much as they raise something else. Also no AS can promise 4 stockets on everything, it's random. You can get increase chances thru assembly tapes etc but never 100% sure.
