Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing the buff last longer than two hours. To me, that's more important than the time it takes to apply the buff. Whether it takes 3 or 6 minutes to apply is not a big deal to me. But an extra hour of buffage would be a very big deal.

Longer lasting buffs means less timeentertainer needed. Is that really what the entertainer professions need?

I couldn't agree more with this post. I would like to see us in line with docs in two other areas as well. Dancer/Musician no difference, we both buff all three mind pools and the ability to buff ourselfs. Docs can buff all the health and action pools for anyone including themselves. I know they have to craft the buffs, but to have this ability, I would be willing to craft something as well.

I was thinking a few nights ago, Docs can give buffs that last up to 3 hours or more . Wouldnt it be nice if dancers and musicians alike , could give enetertainment buffs that lasted the same amt of time? That way youd have a full buff, and all aspects of that buff lasted close to the same time? Thoughts? Opinions on this?

Think of it this way... if an entertainer buff lasted 10 minutes (like in the old days) no one would ever try to get it. With a 1 hour buff, no would would go out of their way to get it. At 2 hours (now) people do. At 3-4 hours then everyone would want the entertainer buffs (imho).

A longer lasting buff only puts ours more in line with doc buffs... they're the same thing on different pools. Can't be unbalancing.
Docs buffs take crafting but are instantaneous to apply, ours require no crafting, but take time to apply. Also a good balance, in my opinion.
The alternative to not having longer buffs (while maintaining buff salability for performer income) is to eliminate mind buffing foods. Almost certainly not going to happen.
I personally think I prefer that dancers and musicians have different buffs. This encourages players to seek out services from both professions, rather than automatically heading straight for the gorgeous Twi'lek babe dancer (okay, so I'm a gorgeous Twi'lek babe dancer, but a lot of other performers aren't, and might lose all business). Clever entertainers can pair up dancer and musician to buff simultaneously, and use that as a selling point for prospective buff clients.
Just my, errr... 4 credits on this one.

I made master last night. WooHoo...what a grind. Anyway, I made my first comp. trip layered kinetic and it came out like this...
electrical 74%/kinetic 80%/base 53% ham cost of 279/85/91 for a chestplate.
I know the problem with my armour is my kiirium steel. it is OQ 111/SR 892. Right<wide-eyed and wondering.>
I would like to ask a favour of the armoursmiths on Ahazi. I would like to buy some Kiirium steel off of an Armoursmith on Ahazi with better stats than I have. I really only need 5k. I just want to see if this makes my armour hit that 63% base. So if any armoursmiths on Ahazi would like to help out a noob Master, I would appreciate it.

you know the insessent whining has any one thought that any one who is subscribed now by the time they have delayed the game it will most likely be 6 months so you can have your ship, although if not it is a bit unfair

I like it.
Maybe even give wild pets more total skill pts then BE pets since BE pets are already engineered.
Sound like alot of work for devps though.
But would definetlyimprove the game.

I really think master IDs should be able to change your species. When the spce espansion comes out i don't want to delete my character so i can be one of the new species. Devs can you plz add this to image designers?

ummm.. i think its a little out of their league, but you should read my Name Changing service Thread.... we had a break through idea with making a City have a Sort-of Corrections office, to edit your Characters basic Profiles... Name change, And maybe even a Sex-Species change... but you would have to Post your ideas on it for the others to read... =]

IfI were to duel an ally and you him as a channel point for my pets area disease in PvP would that be an exploit or would it be a trade off as I wouldlose the ally?
