ALthough I'm sad that I can only furnish one multiplayer ship at a time, I have to say that you guys did a great job with this! I can't wait until I get in mine and just cruise the galaxy! Now I just have to decide if I'm going to furnish this or the YT-1300. Talk about a tough decision!

Wow. What started this morning as some great buzz in both the public and beta boards has sure turned sour fast. Instead of crying about the negative aspects, how about coming up with some ideas for the devs to consider? With just about everything there's going to be SOME give and take. You can't have your cake AND eat it too.

Here's a few ideas (compromises) I can think of off the top of my head:

-Allow only 1 ship ever to be decorated at any given time (as it is now). Placing items in one ship would "turn off" the ability to do so in another BUT you can still have 2 multiplayer ships if you want AND use either one without having to empty the other. This greatly favors the players but also keeps database issues in check (sort of). Another compromise would be to use house lots for multiplayer ships. This helps any DB issues at the cost of player lots. This would probably have to go hand in hand with my next idea.

-Allow the yacht to be user upgradeable to a certain level. NDA probably prevents me from saying anything else on this matter. A compromise to this would be to limit the amount of storage used for decorating it. Again this favors the player , especially the combat types (to a certain extent), but hinder those looking to have a totally decked out ship (decoration wise).

-Only allow one multiplayer ship EVER to be stored in the datapad. Allow the yacht to be totally user configurable to the highest extent. This appeases those who want a fully customizable ship but in the process hurts future sales for shipwrights. The drawback would be only being able to have 1 MP ship at a given time.

- In addition to the previous 2ideas, take away invulnerability but repairs on THIS ship should be extra costly (maybe 10x as much). It's a luxury ship. You get what you pay for (or in this case it's free lol). Want a Benz? Expect to pay thru the nose. Again, this will hurt future shipwright sales. It will also hurt those who aren't millionaires like the rest of us . J/K

Let's face it. You can't always get what you want. Try coming up with at least halfway reasonable ideas for the devs to mull over. I admit, I was a bit dissapointed that it wasn't upgradable. Given the idea that anything different could potentially hurt ship sales AND make getting master pilot meaningless, this was probably the best route the devs could take...............for now.

1 for combat with other people and 1 for touring with friends and just having fun.

True but most people will not have fun on there own or fight in a multi-pass ship on there own so why dose one person have to have 2 multi-pass ships, why not in a group of mates:

1 has the reward ship.

1 has the priviteer ship.

1 has the rebel ship.

1 has the imp ship.

From what i know the multi-pass ships can hold 10-20 people right? so why would they all need 2 multi-paas ships.

most ppl would rather have a multi-pass ship so they can actually have fun fighting and manning the turrets.

cant do that in this "vet reward"

That's why I feel it shouldn't count as one of the two ships in your data pad.
Otherwise most of these ships will get deleted when players do reach a level to get a muli player ship.
Kind of a shame but if that's the way it will be then so be it.

I agree this ship shouldn't count towards your ship cap would just be inconvenient otherwise.

P.S any plans on making a way for europeans to get into the last beta?

An easier fix to this would be, some code that allows all the items in the ship to instantly be transfered to a backpack.

Then you would only need to make a trip or 2 too unload the ship. (i have no idea where you would put it I know im full up on loot kit items praying for the lone adhesives).

Just find a friend who doesnt WANT to decorate his vet reward ship and MP combat in that persons ship and cruise in yours. I mean, not every player has houses filled with junk (i dont). So with all these 8+ people you guys seem to think you are MP combatting with, draw straws and have someone deal with not decorating their veteran ship. Im sure they will happily oblige because they become king of the group sort of

Damn cool looking ship! I need to build a time machine so i can go 4 months in the future and get mine!

How about treat the multi-passenger ship as house? Lets say a multi-passenger ship will take you 2 lots whenever you drop a furniture inside it. In the ground game, any player can put 5 medium houses, 10 small naboo houses, or 10 factories to storehis items.

When the player want to get back the lots for harvest resource or put ahouse in the ground, just take away all his items from the ship. Or give an option in the datapad to "take out all items from the ship".

It would be very cool if this was a button toggle where it would "remember" the placement of your items. That way when you decorate a ship you could "switch" them to the other ship and always have the correct placement of items, making it so we wouldnt have to re-decorate everytime. If this is the case I will only be using my YT-1300 instead of the Yacht.

I promise to work with the team to see if there are any other alternatives here...

I understand the limitations of databases TH. Thank you very much into looking into this, I understand if this cannot take place. From what I think of how your DB works, it doesn't store item locations if the item isn't there. Therefore this would be very hard to impliement, aka lots and lots of coding.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be COOL! though

I think you'll find many people won't use this ship, but a lot of people will. Especially up until the point of players getting their second MP ship.

Thanks again TH

I just have one question about "Pre-Order Beta"

Is the NDA still attached to it?

Would it be possible so that if a muliplayer ship is not decorated by the player that it have some sort of default set of decorations (that don't use db space and can't be manipulated by players)? Make the default set sparse enough to encourage players to decorate themselves, but also have enough there so that if players are in the situation of having more than one multiplayer ship that they don't have to look at an empty ship (or tear apart their other).

Right so everyone in this game is going to have 2 multi-pass ships.

Everyone playes this game alone.

It is a good reward think about you and your guildes want to have a party in space but don't want to get attacked. there are 20 of you your telling me that every single person in your party will have 2 multi0pass ships????????????
