Hia, New weaponsmith here.
I just hve to say i have a new-foudn respect for weaponsmiths since i started this prof. I had no idea how complicated it coudl be, and the resources!! How specific do you need to be!! Comign from shipwright it is a major change.
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys craft weapon individually or do huge runs of them in factories? what do you thin is better? I am thinkign it woudl make sense to factory run one crate of weapons so i don tget too swamped......I was gogin to do runs of basic grinding weapons for people and then tae more care with the hgh-end stuff.
Also, Is there a list anywhere of what the different loot in game can be use for? Like a red geo cube? where does that go in the crafting process? Does it substitute a part liek a power handler or is it somethign different?
Please excuse my noobness, i have just written a list of the resources i need and nearly had a heart attack.
Run subs in factory'sdon't go insane and start doing 1000 item runs at your start ![]()
If your going to be in a big mall in theed/mop on eclipse you can run crates of weapons. But i think it's best to do like 1 or 2 crates max so you don't get stuck with leftovers.
In a smaller town->storm, rorii doubt there will be tons of customers when you just started. So you won't have to run tons of stuff. Maybe 10 items of each and then increase your high selling stuff.

Thanks for the reply guys. I made my first ever RSF sword earlier and managed to get:
200-604 dmg
2.3 speed
+1 acc
cant remember the rest but i was quite pleased as it's the first thing i have made.
One last question. And i knwo it a stupid one but i have to ask. Does anyoen have a pricing policy i coudl get a look at? I have put the above sword on for 10k, not a clue what it is actually worth.
it took me AGES to coem up with a pricing plan for sw so i was hping to cut a corner and see what you guys tend to do. like a cpu perhaps?
feel free to flame, i know its a stupid question.
Its a very good question.
Personally Igo by the going rate of weapons on my server to make sure I stay competitive, if one of my weapons is better than most others I might up the price a bit, its its not so great lower it a bit.
I guess I should really sit down and work it out maybe on a CPU basis... the problem is some of the lower CL weapons take more or the same resources than higher CL weapons and I just don't feel right charging the same for say a CL40 rifle as a CL54 rifle (im thinking light and adv laser rifles here as they use exactly the same resources)
Plus my resources have cost me anything from 2cpu up to whatever CPU a resource kit works out at so hard to work out what I should be charging CPU!
Also, if something doesn't sell at one price I lower it until it starts selling, ifit sells out quick I might up the price a little.
So basically - thats not much help at all and I just realised how shoddy my pricing system is lol - good job I don't run my own business!

I guess my best bet is to sit at a bazaar vendor for a while and see what ther peopel are charging.
Found the answer to #1 by searching back pages here.
Question #2 remains open as using the Alt key does not seem to work for me for some reason. In addition I'd like to just lock the mouse in 'menu' mode as the default.
