A-Wing, no. The A-Wing is supposed to have 1 set of guns and one set of missile tubes. The Interceptor has 2 sets of guns and no missiles. The A-Wing is fine as is. As for the Scyk, I have no knowledge on it to make a comment.

I mentioned this earlier, but I'm not sure if anyone caught onto it.
The solar panels on the TIEs are supposed to be their energy generation, thereby eliminating the need for a reactor. If you can get the devs to realize this and change it, you will free up a good portion of mass to put forth to other things.

Hummm butthen you wouldneed a "converter", to convert the solar energy into useable energy. ![]()
just j/k, couldn't help myself....

lol, don't matter. Either way it would be (or rather should be) much lighter. Either way your freeing up space.

A reactor is needed to work and use a hyper drive. Standard ties have hyper drives. TIE adv. and defenders have hyper drives which is usually why they also have reactors to keep up with the huge power comsumption. What SHOULD happen is that depending on the model the solar panels should add a multiplier to your reactor. So if you have a 10k powered reactor naturally and put it in a tie it should be boosted to like 15-20k. Something along those lines.

Your right i was wrong about the a-wing, though it still says that the a-wing is just as nimble as the tie interceptor at comparable speeds, such as goind 1250 kph(Tie Interceptor max speed) though becuase of the a-wings overall top speed being 1300, its not as nimble as Interceptors. But like it says, comparing relatice velocity they are exactly the same. This is taken from STARWARS THE NEW ESSENIAL GUIDE TO VEHICLES AND VESELLS(pg. 16 and 158), and STARWARS ENCYCLOEPEDIA (pg. 18 and 309)
The Tie Interceptor is the answer to the a-wing in terms of nimbleness in terms of equal nimbleness, not speed. Becuase of the a-wings low sheild out-put and relatively low armor value the quad lasers were installed in the tie int. for overall destructive power.

Gadon, you're incorrect, the TIE Interceptor was built to be the answer to the fast and maneuverable A-Wing

lol... well... they are supposed to have a radar jamming device that works on smaller craft.

Well, I think that the problem with number of guns per ship exists almost for every ship...

well if rebels get superior ships like they should... then imperials should get +2 tie fighters that follow them around, and help out, like space faction pets
well and where are all the star destroyers? i havent seen one yet

This suggestion is a no brainer. I'm surprised the TIE/Int doesnt have 4 lasers (am I understanding this correctly?).
Make the TIE/Int what it was always meant to be.

The T/I only has one gun.
The A-Wing only has one gun.
The Scyk only has one gun.
ALL light fighters only have one gun. What you're asking is to unbalance the game.
Yeah, in canon, the T/I had 4 GUNS. But it also didn't have shields or a hyperdrive. I don't see you guys begging to get rid of your shields or hyperdrives because it violates canon.

Hey, that would actually be pretty cool: A Imperial officer flying around in his T/A with two TIE fighter wingmen flanking him. ![]()
In SWG, the imperial navy has had some severe budget cuts, they've only got one single Star Destroyer left. It has been naughty though, so it's on a time out in Deep Space.
