yes its true that pc r more skilled then AI but some AI are beter then some players, and u can teach AI to use tactics and be orginized, yes it take more work but u canteach AI to do any thing and every thing, but it must be programed to do it
You obviously know nothing about AI.

The FREAKING problem is that we want to kill you, and then spew random insults at your corpse. Because we're all big nasty greifers that just want to make your life miserable.

As far as my point of view...I'm with the Impire, but I don't like to PvP.
What your saying is that since I don't like to PvP I shouldn't b flying around in an Imprial Fighter....I say BS, why should I have to play the way you want me too.
I pay $15.00 a month to play the game I want too, same as you do.....you want PvP go Overt, and leave me out of it.

I can chose to go out and fight PvE, but if I have to be overt in space I don't have a choice not to PvP, now do I.
It's all about a persons choice.

I'm in total agreement with the original post. I don't enjoy PvP much, and I'm glad JTLS isn't forcing it.

I definatly agree with no PvP. You damn PvP griefers ruin the ground game, but in space you wont ruin it. I do agree though neutrals have no business in factioned space craft. But True Covert Status? FINALLY people can enjoy the GCW without a group of morons coming along to grief someone on missions. I can only hope the devs see how successful this is and add it into the ground game.

Achilles: Anyone with enough money can buy anything. And yes, I've seen an F-16 for sale before. Hell, if I had the money I could buy an atomic bomb on the black market.

Actually in Russia you can...... but thats besides the point.
You do realise the is not United States Galaxies right?
How does someone who doesnt involve themselves in PvP GCW but rather plays the PVE GCW route make less of a military person?
Lets just say your example was relevant (which it isnt), then by military person you mean someone who fights for a country or group (imp or reb). A person who chooses to fight PvE only is still a military person as he fights in the GCW and is in no way less valuable than a PvP only player.
In regards to your example, anyone (PvE or PvP) would be a military person so that playerWOULD be able to fly your F-16.

In a combat simulation they're one and the same.
Ok you're retarded.
Goto agree with achilles there.
Artificial Intelligence (as good as it is) is no way in any shape or form the same as player vs player interaction. Even in futur games such as Half Life 2 and Stalker: Oblivion Lost the ai will still be confined to a set number of responses depending on the situation. They may be advanced enough to adapt but the ai is still only following rules. Against a player they make up their own mind, they perform actions that THEY personally want to do depending on how they see things and perhaps even how they view the world.
The random and unpredictable nature (at times) of combat against a player makes the difference quiet aparent to anyone who has spent 10 minutes in a game.
It seems the topic of the thread has moved from Should PvE and PvP players all have a role in the GCW to the ins and outs of player vs player combat. All those who like PvP (myself on my PvP character) do this for a reason and this is because PvE cannot totally (no matter how complex or good the system is) immitate human behaviour fully. Both systems have their advantages but lets be clear about one thing, both experiences are very different hense the split in play styles people prefer.

man this pisses me off 1 because if your flying around in a x-wing it's not like a imperal is gona wow look a x-wing i bet he is a imperal lol same for someone in a tie fighter but that isn't the main issue. the main issue is people attack a star destroyer overt and the pvp people as you call tehm can't do anything lol example hey bob look rebels shooting that thing o maybe we should do something no we can't lets watch as billions of imperal credits get blow up with that ship lol
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PVP DON'T PLAY A GOD DAMM ONLINE GAME!!!!!!
