Accually he made you look good... How many times does the rep for the boards answer that fast? On many of the boards I've been on, not many...

Thank you both for that information. I'm considering starting up an alt as a BE, but I would prefer to have a combat profession in addition, but I wasn't sure if I would need MCH to sample pets.

Heh.

If you look at our posts...we must have been within seconds of each other, we show the same time for the reply. Whew, I don't think I'll be able to beat Arthur to another question, that took too much out of me

If you plan on making pets, then MCH is a fine compliment. However, I would also encourage taking up as much scout/ranger as you can. An example, if you master scouting, you can see the creature level of potential dna doners. You also see what the special attacks are, etc. You don't need to master scout, because you can find all sorts of refrences to creature level, special attacks...but this way, you don't have to keep track of any more papers (something I greatly appreciated having).

Well all that information is available on www.swgcreatures.com - they basically offer the creature knowledge of a master ranger free to everyone. Very useful tool. For a BE - the only use for mastering scout is really for the extra mask scent ability. With master scout, +25 clothing and jawa beer, the re-application time for mask scent is just one second.

My system struggles when I switch back and forth between websites and the game, so I generally print out papers/spreadsheets. But I do agree that swgcreatures is a great site.

Ah right, well then yes it obviously does depend on your system specs - mine can handle the alt-tabbing so I'm alright. Plus Master Scout does have the convenience of having this information at hand.

ranger 0030 shows special attack 1 and 2.
master scout allows the maximum mask scent bonus.

swgcreatures.com saves you ranger skill points. the mask scent? you can get by with explore 4 and jawa beer and BioE tailored clothes, but you'll have to decide for yourself if that's enough.

ranger 0030 ALSO allows you to 'track' target DNA, which can either work beautifully... or not at all.

Indeed, the creature needs to have spawned before you can track it - which requires a player to have seen it recently. This means going on exploration trips around Endor trying to track creatures, quite difficult.

the good news here is that you can quickly scan the areas around POI's and outposts where player traffic HAS generated spawns.

if nothing else, you can swing wide around blurrg raptors... until we can sample them.

if i understood that right... no death blowing the bh wont reset your visibility, there is really nothing to actually truely gain, by killing off the bh at low level. It might disrupt his mission, but you'll still have a bounty on your head, only way to reset that visibility is to die by the hands of a bh by deathblow.
