They do definitely drop from any and all tier 4 black sun ships. I spent weeks trying to get a black sun ace helmet usually I was putting in 3 hours a night at a static spawn killing BS again and again. Then one day the lil message flashed across my screen saying I looted a Black Sun Ace helmet and I had to go do a double take lol.


Then one of my guildies did a patrol mission a couple days later...and with in 5 minutes of doing the patrol he looted the freaking helmet.


So yes it definitely drops from the static spawn in endor and from the imperial patrols. I looted mine from a tier 4 Black Sun Rihxywhatever attack ship.


Incidently as a side note here, if your imperial or cant get a patrol anddont want to camp a static spawn and you have Rage of the wookiees. Go to kasshyk, the kachiro tree and speak to mavajohnson or someone-so it starts of the finding brody johnson series of quests. Further a long in the quest series Johnson Smith in etty asks you to find out whats going on with one of the accarons for a different quest from the brody johnson stuff. Do that, and then return to johnson smith and he tells you to go talk to the chiss woman in the tent behind him. She has 3 space delivery missions-the type where enemy ships keep on spawning until you redezvous with the delivery ship. In the 2nd or maybe 3rd deliverysystem tier 4 black sun are the enemy ships. So just keep on blowing em away and they'll keep on a spawning. Then if you want just leave the system when its time to log and talk to the chiss chick to get the mission again.

if you are neutral pilot go to theed palace and get missions from the pilot furthest back.
if you are rebel go get missions from rebel trainer in lok
both give black sun duty missions

Thank you so much guys, i've actualy been getting descent space loot, so not getting a helm wont bother me at all.

took me about three weeks and about three hours a day, but I did get one. Just takes a lot of time.

I THINK the drop rate is something like 1:2000 or something of the sort.

Unfortunately, not for me.


I've got around 5.2M credits on a chip from my BS killing. A conservative estimate would be that I've killed around 12,000 BS so far with no helmet drop.


I wonder if I'm cursed. This is the GDK fiasco all over again for me. People were getting scale drops in around 80 kills on those... I reached 250+ before I lost count, gave up, and bought the darn things.


Unfortunately, I can't afford the selling price of a BS helmet so the BS runs continue. Even turned my alt into a Reb Ace Pilot so I could get the BS missions (none for Imps before JtL). This stopped being fun a long time ago... but I'm going to get that helmet... one way or another!

i looted one on my third kill when i went looking for it...then i thought "well that was easy" so i sold it for 15 mil on my trade forums and though id just go get another...now after almost a month of blacks sun missions once a night or so i still have yet to get that second one

the NS Bracer is probably the rarest item and then the Jetpack comes next. But since this item doesn't do anything but look cool goes for around 6-10mil.



Wow, they go for 20+ million on Ahazi. (I currently have one for sale with a 20m bid on it.)

to my understanding Imperials cannot take Black Sun missions, so this is the only spawn. Am I correct ? so far I have killed close to 200 of them

Yes the Black Sun spawn in endor does drop the Ace helm you will have to kill alot more though before u get one..I was on close to 2kof them dead before I ..I got all my Xp for tier 4 there.

everything I have found so far is junk, wondering if it would be easier to run my alt through privateer to get Black Sun Missions.
