J/k, its been said a couple of times that Imps dont get other choises than the Static spawn in Endor space.
Either camp that place (seems to spawn 1 Tier 4 ship at about every 1,30 min (I killed 90 ships in rufly 2 hours)) or get up there with a Rebel / privateer friend

There is use for it, as far as I know...

My guildie swears, that once he followed somebody's advice and put on the BS Helmet and BS Medalion, launched, disabled some higher tier BS ship and docked with it.

He got some funny messages, saying that he is now a secret Black Sun Pilot-operative and may receive cover missions later... Though nothing happened since... But still he likes being the rare one with the Black Sun Pilot profession

Stuff like that is gonna get people into Gollum/Frodo scenarios, where one of them say they don't want it and that the other can keep it, and then the first one keeps it and then they end up fighting .

Find a smuggler and do a duty mission with him.

And say things like, "I'll let you keep this shiny level one capacitor if you let me have any crappy metal helmets you loot. Look at the shiny capacitor! Look at it!"

Yea, Ive killed scores and scores of Black Sun to no avail. I mean, I really dont need the helmet, but its literally the only peice of rare loot I dont own in the game. So I guess that drives me to get it. *sigh* I will one of these days.
