I dunno, to me a lot is riding on this summit. I do know, whatever happens, we'll find out when Garvin gets back. I think right now we have great leader and even other professions know it. I hope that carries through during the summit! Honestly, I'm not sure what will happen there or if we will finally gain a foothold. But I do know that once he get's back, we'll have a much better idea of where things are heading for us. THAT's a good thing!
So, hang in there Commandos! Cross your fingures and hope for the best...expect...(FUGGIT!) THE BEST! Ya never know what carrot lies (<----not a typo) around the corner. I've lost all confidence in SOE Management, a little bit in the Dev.Drones, and none in our Correspondant or any other for that matter. I think these guys will do a good job there.
My silly try at being a cheerleader

First thing I did was go searching for our Friday Feature...All I've found out is that TH went on Vacation so that may have something to do with the absence of our promised themed Friday Feature...
I'll do a bit more poking around and see what I can find out...
And remember...This upcoming Thursday I will be Face 2 Face with TH and the rest of the SOE staff getting the real scoops at the Correspondent Summit in Austin...
Why in the hell would Kurt take a vacation right before this gigantic Correspondent Summit? Shouldn't he, you know, be doing his job by helping organize things both on the dev end and also with the Correspondents which I have to assume is the responsiblity of one with the title of Community Relations Manager? Why did our "manager" go on vacation without a simple heads up to the community he is supposed to relate to? If his vacation was something scheduled ahead of time, then how did he fail to make your Friday Feature a priority to be completed before he left so it could be delivered to those he promised it to? Bah, nothing surprises me any more.....

For example Commandos were told that their role was suposed to be the heavy weapons users of the galaxy.
All of our heavy weapon are broke......They are crap they miss 80% of the time useless in both PVP and allmost in PVE our acid throwing rifle is broke to high-heck noone uses it unless they didnt know it was broke. only weapon that works is our flamethrower BUT our DOT has been nerfed WAY too much. We have a pistol but only thing it does is cause lag to dial-up users and we have NO REAL specials for it. Heck pistoleers are better with it. with flamethrower we can take allmost any NPC but in PVP we are a joke.

bring your flamethrower with you...say "Im gonna use it if Im not hearing something I like"
On te other hand, if you really wanna hurt them then DON'T bring flamethrower. You'll just miss. Use whatever melee skills you got.

Given the level of abuse pointed at him (personally) for simply being a messenger, it was probably to de-stress so he can handle the summit.
I know in his position, I'd have resigned long ago.
I mean, *every* time he posts a positive change, or something just 'fluffy', there's a tirade on whatever board he's ranting at him "why haven't fixed [insert 73 issues here, that have nothing to do with the forum he just posted in]".
I get enough hassle on the Merchant and CH Forum simply for holding a different opinion, and the children flame and flame and flame.
I don't envy his position at all.

Totally agree with you Brilyn. I honestly think TH has his hands tied and might not get a whole lot of cooperation over there. I also think he WANTS to make everyones voicebe heard, but he's in a tricky spot. I read that article about how he got to where he is...and it totally changed my tone. I was almost in his shoes six years ago...but chose against it. I'm glad I'm not in the cut throat IT trade...I deeply regret not being in the gaming industry.
ThunderHeart is a newbie at SOE (at least he was) and I guaruntee he only tells us what he's told and what he's allowed to say. So, as we can all see, once he get's the green light to share something that might be exciting...he's excited and makes a post. Not his fault Management there makes changes...and makes him look like Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls away the football. I don't envy him at all either!
On the other hand...
