I want to thank all the other Jedi out there for the info. Good to know others out there will help us lower lvl Jedi's when we have questions.

Well, Deuterium Pyro gives around +17 Defense vs. Intimidate, but AFAIK that just keeps the initimidate from sticking, I didn't think it affected the duration. By itself it might not be much, but maybe he also had some Def. vs. Intimidate skill tapes or BE clothing?

I specificly asked him about it, and he said it decreased duration, didn't affect me sticking it on him. I talked to a master chef and they said that it may be the decreased dot drink or something like that. Would that really affect the duration of a state?

That's an interesting idea....

Dustcrepe reduces the remaining time of a DoT around 25% (when using an additive) and if you take it multiple times the reductions appear to stack. Although the filling is usually in the high 20s, so this would only be something that could be used 3-4 times in a given battle. If the state duration uses the same timer code as the DoT, dustcrepe may work for both....

Is there a standard duration for intimidate (or other states like dizzyand blind)? If initimidate always lasts, say, 60s then it could be tested pretty easily. If it's random it'd be harder to verify. Or I suppose that a player's chance to "shake off" intimidate could also affected by their Defense vs. Intimidate, bringing us back to Pyro. A lot of the skill mods are things I haven't dealt with myself.

Are you sure he wan't just healing it? If he was a jedi knight, chances are he had heal states.

Yep Jedi have a "Heal States Self" command or later at Master Healer a "Total Heal Self" (which heals everything, wound, fire, dots, damage, all at once)

From what I've heard Master Healer isn't exactly a popular build. I'm also not sure why the Jedi would just flat out lie like that though. If they are using heal stat its fairly obvious to them, and I don't know how anyone would mistake that for a food bonus. Thats like drinking brandy and thinking you are actually using a mind stim that a doctor would apply.

It is an interesting thought about the DOT and intimidate(probably other stats as well). I believe this is on a timer and does last for an exact time each time. It would be very odd that the game thinks of this as a DOT just because of the name. Intimdate isn't exactly Damage over Time. But as sciguy mentioned it would be an easy test as well. Hopefully I'll get a chance to try it before the weekend.

Heal State Self is 0004, dunno how many that have

Heal State Other is 0040, I'm not sure if the Jedi can target himself with that too (doubt it since he has a Self-Heal, but who knows)

I know i can be a Privateer, and still be imperial. But will i be able to go "Overt", so to speak, and pvp along side my friends against the rebel scum?

Right now since it's Beta....We can't give details...but if I remember TH's post right, you can be an imperial on the ground, and a Privateer in space, or vice versa.

Heya, sorry if this has been asked before,i did a quick scan thru the forums to check, but i am at work right now and dont have all that much time, and sadly, dont know any commandos in game..i am currently the triple threat, master smuggler/TKM/master pistoleer, and was wondering, how is commando for pve? Ive found that TKM works very well, but to be quite frank,i want to blow things up.I was thinking Master smuggler/Master commando, with a bit of tk meditate.

Im not interested all that much in Pvp,just Pve,any thoughts?

thanks for your time.
