What the above poster said. They cant block, but you can miss.

If you want better results pick up novice smuggler (just 6 skill points) for a bomb droid. Also handy is Smuggler 0200 (I think) for slicing mission terminals for higher pvm payout (Mokk unsliced = 31500, Mokk sliced = 44500).

Just made 3000 AS "Personal Armor 3, Ubese"
So anyway, I bought these stun segments in a factory crate off the bazaar for like 1000 credits, I boot up my crafting tool and open the schematic for the Ubese Armor Segment, I enter my resources and I see at the bottom its asking me for a layer. So I'm like ok... I have no layers atm so I look around and I find the Stun segs I bought and I pop one in and it works. I hit complete and it says the Ubese Armor Segment I crafted has 11% stun 3%base 1%kinetic.

I do believe its impossible for Ubese to have stun resists... so what happens when I try using these segments in ubese armor?

You can use any kind of layer to make any kind of segment for any kind of armor. I'm a bit confused as to what it is you bought from the bazaar. Are they stun layers or some sort of loot seg with stun resists? Whatever it is, you wont have any trouble with the final combine of your Ubese.

When you craft the actual ubese (should you find some neut steel) it will have 11% stun resistance. Layers are intended to make a vunerablity into a protection (in this case stun dmg) OR increase the resistance of a previously resisted dmg type.

Ease your pain, master Pistoleer first

Smuggler Pistol skills are pretty worthless without it, seen too many people give up Smuggler cos of the slow grind...
