Anyway does this really matter it's a game, and the ship is a multiplayer spaceship and as such should remain so. If they make the Yt-1300 soloable it would ruin it's purpose in the game. The ship is a multiplayer vehicle and as such should remain so.

However you can still have 2 players, one pilot one gunner.

And oh did i mention it's only a game, and a multiplayer one at that!

Tell me though, if both you and I had a YT-1300, and I chose to fly mine solo, how does this stop you puttinga crew on yours?

ok, but can we have a master ship then ?? hehe

like some sort of transport that could fire without a crew ??

This is an alternative I've been suggesting for quite a while now, so I /agree with you.

Ok First off has anyone accually seen Han Fire his turrets from the Pilot's seat?

Well, we have seen the Millenium Falcon shoot at a TIE fighter while everyone on board was in the cockpit, ergo nobody in the turrets.

(Ep 4, ANH).

Ok first off in your own words time index? I looked at the Space sceens in ANH and could not find one where Han shot from the Pilots seat though he was talking about takeing out a TIE he could have ment with his coccution Missils.

***EDIT 2***

With all the post error ...stuff I forgot this part in the Final sceen in ANH befor Luke Blows the Death Star Han is in the Pilots Chair Talking to Luke after the Falcon cleared the TIEs off Luke's tail, however, Chewie is nowhere to be seen and he could have easliy been in the Gun Turret as Han is the Better Pilot of the two.

BTW the "edit 1 markers where added in edit 2 as well.

***End EDIT 2***

as for My time indexes:

***EDIT 1***

in ANH(DVD) - Lucas's Offical Version and ONLY complete one

54:40 - "I made a lot of Special Modifications Myself" - Han Solo (its a HEAVLY modified ship)

55:53 - Han has to stand up and us a termanal Behind the Pilots Chair to Program the Nav Computer he later 1:03:14 has to use the same position on a panal above his head to Cut over to sublight engines. So the devs already removed atleast 1 player position for Playablity(in RotJ they had 4 people runnig the boards in the cockpit. Pilot,Co-Pilot, Navagator(the Nav Comp termnal was infront of him), and (I am guessing) Flight engeer).

in Jedi(DVD)

1:35:13 - Laser Fire is clearly coming from the Top turret and as Lando is Flying though a Cloud of TIEs I would think that this would be the time to Fire a FWD mounted Main gun wouldn't you?

1:40:53 - Lando is lining up on a Tie and a shot blows it up clearly coming from the lower Left of the cockpit angling to the Top Right exsacly how a shot from the lower turret should traval.

2:02:16 - 2 shots are seen coming from 2 differant ports between the "Forks" of the front of the ship. However they are clearly Missals and not lasers. so there can't be lasers there if there are launch tubes there.

Is this good enough for you guys?

***End Edit 1***

Those shots didn't come fromsome alleged "lower turret"...it's obvious they came from the grassy knoll

It's funny how all the people against pilot guns go quiet when asked this question

Besides what was in the books, the Falcon DID have anti-personnel turrets dotted about the hull to deter anyone from getting too close to the ship, but those wouldn't be powerful enough to dent shields.

Of course the Falcon didnt have a main gun that the pilot could fire, just watch the movies again to see that.

Episode IV, Han & Luke had to man the turrets while Chewbacca flew.

We aren't given a Falcon at master!!!! We are given a run-of-the-mill YT-1300. None were produced by Corellian Engineering with a gun!!

Actually a stock YT-1300 has one light single barreled cannon in a top side turret, if I remember correctly, but your right on the money with you comment in the aspect that the certification is for a stock YT not the falcon, ashort list of modifications to the falcon off the top of my head.

  • Military-gradeshields

  • Military grade quad-mount turbo lasers

  • Missile launcher between the manibles (think it was a concussion missle launcher)

  • Military grade sensor suite with sensor dish

  • Concealled, "popup" anti-personel repeating blaster

  • Experimental military hyperdrive

  • Upgraded repulosor lift system and sublight drive

  • Smuggling compartments

  • The infamous ships computer, run by two (? or was itthree)droid brains that sometimes disagreed and did not work together.

Personally I feel that the all the multi-player ship turrets should lock forward when there is no gunner, but thats just me.

The falcon is a modified version of a yt-1300. And in the game they dont give us the falcon, they give us a plain stock otu of the factory yt-1300. And I agree that it should not come with alot of things han put into his ship. But one thing that I liek about this game is the fact you can customize. You can pick your particular outfit, you can organize yourhouse the way you want, even paint your vehicles and ships. SO I think they should give us more option later in the game to customize our vehicles how we want them. They should give us the choice of later adding one or two dorsal cannons to a yt-1300 or letting us modify our ship similar to how han did it or to how boba modified his ship. But to even it out certain modifications can only be acheived if say you get master pilot, or a certain part can only be looted at a certain spot so not everyone would have these modifications. I have a yt and I like the ship even though it wont be a sheavily modified as han's falcon. But SWG is the only game that lets me own my own yt, have a full crew who can actually operate the turrets or fly the ship anytime they want or I want. So i guess i dont mind too much.

Han fired the Falcon's cockpit gun in Episode IV

After they arrive in Alderaan, just before the TIE Fighter screeches over the cockpit. He reaches up and hits something on the roof and the guns above him fire, though you never see the blasts.

Obi Wan Kenobi: It's am Imperial Fighter. [Han fires guns] No. . . it's a short range fighter.

They were wussy guns, as I remember, but guns all the same. I also THINK (though I am not sure) that Lando fires the cockpit guns at least once during the Battle of Endor, as seen from an exterior. However, it should be noted that all through Empire, when most of the action took place aboard the Falcon, Han never fired a shot.

Of course, in Empire, asteroids weren't clipable.

sorry but your wrong

those blasts were from the tie and the switch han through was either a) deflector shield adjustment or b) jamming the tie's comms

quad turbolaser, concussion missiles

the Yt-1330 should not be able to fire her weapon turrets without them being manned. its role in the game is that of a MULTI-player ship.
