So now what? Do the developers read this petition and get to work?

Seeing a lot of /signs, I may have thoughtlessly skipped if this was suggested, but let me add it anyway:

While away from the pilot's seat (heck, regardless of being in the pilot's seat or not), there should be an audio prompt, and maybe flight computer message when approaching the destination. For example, in ANH, before dropping out of hyperspace and arriving at Alderaan (rather, its remains), the 'Falcon made a kind of *bwoop* noise.

And to add to the idea of a droid autopilot program, how about a droid nearby-hostile-ship scanning program? Would be another good use of the audio alert. ^_^

This isn't a want, this is a NEED; Very much so is it needed, what good is an autopilot if it doesn't help in any way shape or form? I've had my autopilot point me in the complete wrong direction before

If I'm going to be pointed in the wrong direction, at least let me walk around while I'm flying into oblivion

I think an autopilot droid would be great. As mentioned, an audio alert to arriving at a destination would be a great module, along with the nearby enemy warning module.

Perhaps this could be extended with additional modules that perform standard evasive manouvres when activated (e.g. go in to a continuous spiral, or round in a circle).

Very complex, perhaps, just a simple "go to waypoint" autopilot droid would be great.
