Ppl that don't have them should wait and see how everything pans out. With a game so buggy as this one, I would wait. I got my x45 for RL combat jet fighting games. I hope it works great with JTL. I don't want to up grade to the x52. I hate twist tech because it's not reallistic. It doesn't say if it has a rudder on the throtle like the x45 does. I really like that set up of the x45.the only thingI don't like aboutthe x45 is that ithas no force feed back.

My CH CombatStick should arrive today. I will be testing it out with XWA (which I never played because of frustrating Joystick issues in the past.... but loved the rest of the XWing series). If I like it I might end up splurging on the rest of the CH parts (throttle and pedals). Expect a preliminary review in a few days.
Lock S-Foils in attack position!

Does anyone know if the X52 is even out yet. If not when it's coming out.

I just wanted to add my opinion from personal experiance with joysticks...as someone already mentioned, the Saitek brand looks good, but don't respond well and I've had a lot of trouble calibrating them.
I've found that the microsoft lineup of controls are the msot reliable in my opinion. They are strong sturdy. I've been playing with the one I have for over 2 years with a number of flight sims. My sidewinder has taken a beating, especially when dog fighting quickly yanking it from one side to another then back. In addition to that it has 7 buttons plus the 8 point hat switch and throttle. Just my opinion as one of the better joysticks available. BestBuy keeps them stocked.

thanks for the input all. If anyone has a joystick thats on the list it would be cool to post your own review of them. Give us your personal experiences, what games you'll played with it, what games you had trouble with using it and basically what you like/dislike about it. Itwould help alot since there are many players out there still with a question mark over thier head on which stick to buy. You can rate it on a scale of 5...
-
5 You MUST buy this stick. -
4 Very good stick -
3 Has its problems but it does the job -
2 Hmm, where did i put that receipt? -
1 "911, whats your emergecy?" "Please hurry to my house, i think i murdered my joystick!"

I got my ch combat stick 586 usb a few days ago. Taking a bit getting used to due to the construction (has an odd joint that tends to make you go X or Y not X and Y) but I am really enjoining it. Once I get the hang of it I think it will be my fave stick ever. Great feel to it. The thing is a tank. Feels great in the hand. I think I am going to love it.
