Don't bother. Droids are useless in this game. All they do is serve as mobile crafting stations or a droid-shaped backpack for up to 10 items. That's it.

droids are awsume if your a crafter or a medic.

You can use them as private crafting stations so you can craft *anything* you have a schimitic for (becayse some high level schimtics require a PRIVATE crafting station.. ie a droid).

You can also use it to act as a mobile medical center, if you heal ya know how u can only heal black wounds in a med center? Well if you call a medical droid out YOU CAN heal your black wounds!

They rule, you can have up to 5 droids in your datapad, 1 out at a time. You can also get a Probe with a 859 ham and armor and it can help you in battle, it's not a pet but it can distract evil hermits from attacking you, cause who cares if your bot get hurt.. he doesnt have items that will decay! Also if you STORE things in your droids storage department those things DONT decay when you die!

Well, I'll be looking for an ADV protocal droid chasis (not sure if that is the correct description) as soon as I get online tonight. They are required in the construction of a shuttleport. If anyone has one available please send me a /tell tonight.....

As for you Droid Eng's , I want you guys to know that I can't live without my droids and I strongly encourage any crafter to pick up one that allows for crafting on the go. They have allowed me to make a lot of buisness while I've been out in the field.

**edit** some people that actually like droids.

Well coming from a master droid engineer on Valcyn server
the two hottest droids going are Adv Probots "fighter" with medical mod and Chem crafting station in them or Adv Probot with General Crafting station and one other crafting station depending on class.

Now if you don't want a fighter for some reason and need more modules an R2 for now is the way to go....it has 5 module slots and is ALOT cheaper than an R3.

Thankx for the appreciation guys we need all the support we can get.

Sakur: MDE Valcyn Server
send me an e-mail if ya want a good droid for the right price. I will even go over you options with ya.

They need a new class of droids: Repair!

Especially for the new vehicles and all the decay caused by dying.

Speaking of droids there should be a ban on naming droids C3P0 and r2d2, those are unique names. I mean I can name myself Han solo. All those lame assez think they are sooooo cool to name their droids C3p0 and r2d2, sooo clever

Um, you can't name an actual droid anything with numbers in it.

If you've seen a protocol droid or R2 droid with those names, it's somebody clever who named a droid chassis that, not an actual droid. You'll notice they just stand there and don't move.

Driods have no inherent functions, meaning a driod is only as good as the modules that are put in them. If you go to the DE forum you will find most of the answers you are looking for there, like what module does what and the different types of driods.

I had 6 in a row fail on Endor (Tempest) night before last...the seventh hit, and luckily enough the mark was moving towards me

I knew it was bugged on the 3rd seeker, because they were all getting hit by meteors over and over, but I decided to keep trying after I weighed the cost of a few droids against a wasted ticket to Endor.
