I try to use guerilla tactics with my commando ambushing people one or two at a time in between buildings. In an upfront fight, however, the delay is killer. Get TKA to compliment it then you can knockdown and flamesingle2.

Interesting take you have on that. I just gave up my pistoleer/rifle/tka4-0-0-3 Smuggler DF. I had awesome defenses and rifle. However I found I like pistols too much. It would be interesting to duel you with my new template.

Master Pistol

BH 0-0-3-0

Brawler

I have lots of skill tapes but still do not have close to your defenses. I end up with about 60 melee and 30 ranged with skill tapes but I have 105 dodge. I am a zabrak as well. Here is what I would do against you.

I would run in and intimidate. I would have a 40% stun shield with my 38% stun armor which is on Head, Chest and legs. It has a base of 70% acid. I would use a scatter or dx2 pistol targeting the mind. Your geo would be useless. I would use air cakes or the other dodge food and keep a nuetron pixie handy. After intimadate lands which I have about +25 on that due to a bandolier and AA. I would land it easily as my bro had resists up to 60 on it and I landed it every time on him. I would then proceed to eyeshot. I would cycle intimidate with eyeshot. So far I have never been kd more than 10 seconds. You are rigth intimidate is king against defense stackers and stun is awesome as well. However you lack a good punch to your offense. WIth my old template I lasted 10 minutes just standing toe to toe with a master fencer. I probably could not do that as well now.

I am sure you would intimdate and stun me back however with the lack of good offense, im not sure how it would go.. Maybe Im not thinking of everything but it seemed when my bro hit me with mind dots and all his high dollar weaps that he still took forever.I hit him with intimidate and stun cycled using last ditch and stillcould not inflictenough damage overall and he did not even havehis shield on. I used nothing but the geo pistol.A verynice one. 1.9 sec at about 260 damage. Im also not sure how kiting would work on you. Im assuming you would be impossible to hit even with BH accuracy so I would have to venture in for the intimidate. Did your friend do all of this?

It is very nice to see a successful pistoleer here. Good Job..!!!

Don't really know but I think the Dev's want to make PvP a choice. So unless you are Overt in your chosen Faction you'll have to have concensual PvP.

Can neutrals attack imperials or rebels now? No, not without consensual pvp. I love that neutrals want to be just that, neutral, yet want the best of everything. The Alliance and the Empire are currently at war with each other. The smart neutral player exploits both sides, not tries to make enemies with both.

I'm hoping space follows the same general rules as ground fighting. In reality the ground system is quite fair and only those unprepared get ganked by other players.

Not consentual no. But you can't call your AT-ST unless overt, so you shouldn't be able to call a TIE or X-Wing unless overt.

Since there will be non-factional craft (Z95 Head Hunter, Hutt Fighter, YT's....) then this makes much sense.

Yah I'm really confused about PVP combat in space, I've heard so many things from the devs. Some say it has to be consentual for covert members...but others say you will be made overt in space automatically. It's to confusing.

The neutral faction in SWG is for those who do not want to participate in the GCW. If you wish to participate, join a faction. The very meaning of the word neutral means you do not wish to participate in the war.

Granted, not enough info is out there and I understand alot of people want to fly the privateer ships in the war, maybe you can?? Maybe when youdecide which pilot profession to choose, youcan choose either your faction profession(for faction craft) or the privateer profession(for craft in that tree). Dunno, but I believe if you remain neutral faction in space, then PVP won't be available to you.

So should neutrals be able to attack or no? I'm confused by your wording.

If they can then it seems unfair that a neutral can basically TEF me and always get the first shot. Unless of course everyone is open to everyone, that would be the only equalizing factor. I mean if you can attack us then you're basically a pirate; any attacked fighter will report you once you attack us so if we're always overt and attackable to you then let it be the other way around...if this is what you want then I'm all for it. I just don't want Privateers to have the best of both worlds with little risk and great reward unless each side has the same thing.

No - neutrals should not be able to attack anyone w/o consent unless PvE. PvP rules on the ground will probably remain in effect in space as they are now.

when JTL launches will neutral players be able to shoot rebels and imperials and vice versa. Maybe neutrals can choose to be PVP. Some neutrals want to join in the shotin too but like the neutral ships.

Hmm, I think neutral ships should be able to PVP easily if they make themselves overt Rebels or Imp if that's what you mean...

I still stand by with the idea that all faction fighters should be overt status. It's unrealistic otherwise.

Any factional spacecraft will be able to attack other factional spacecraft, If you are in a TIE you are overt

If you are in an X/Y/A wing you are overt.

Seems that most people are taking the stance of "I'm better than you because I know how to pvp".

I'm wondering if any of said self-proclaimed "00ber" Dark Jedi Knights have dueled one another yet...

Just as we saw early on, on test2 when Master LS + Defense = undefeatable - it's hard to argue that one template played well will be far superior than pvp-skills.

That said, duels between two players with equal templates will go to the person whom lands intimidate first.
