Thread: An Apology
Since you want to try and now act like the little kid who got his feelings hurt and doesnt understand why, lets take a look at what you said... Not the whole thing just the parts who show who you really are...
_____
Quite frankly, the jedi got what he deserved.
"Gee, I think I'll put myself on the BH missions terminals on day 1 of the new patch and see what happens." WHAT DID U THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!
Personally, I think the jedi this happened to really did not think things through.
Dev's have stated time and time again that playing as a jedi is meant to be hard.
And now BH's are sympathizing with them? Wow, this must be the beginning of the end.
Well, maybe the BH's are sympathizing with them because theyre so damn scared of the Dev team taking away our new missions because it would appear they favor jedi?
Clone camping has been around since the days of UO, its been in SWG since day one. What makes jedi so special that they should not be a part of it?
The whole TEF issue? I fail to see how that's a BH's problem.
There are some BH's that choose to take advantage of the situation, that's all.
The so called "griefers" that took advantage of this situation have absolutely nothing to apologize for!!!! The system was in place for them to do what they did.

Ok. Please post the screen shot you must've taken of this incident.
I didn't bother taking a screenshot. Try logging into the game and checking the cloning centers on Dant, Dath, and Endor. You'll find a minimum of 4 BHs within a 30m vicinity of the building.

SimianHunter,
I don't want to start a big arguement with you here, man, but you just gave me my quote of the year. I said, "What did he think would happen?" You replied with, "He'd be hunted by honorable players who would actually fight fair and finish their mission correctly."
HAHAHAHAA, seriously man, is this the first mmorpg you've played? Do you participate in any PvP on SWG? Fair and honorable play in PvP is a total myth, it doesn't exsist. Do you know what usually happens to the guy that tries to PvP fair and honorably? Yeah, he dies.
I suppose afk rooftop macroing is fair and honorable too? Man, I wish I could afk my way through investigation4.
By honorable players fighting fair I meant that they wouldn't exploit the system to grief the Jedi. They would actually do their mission and move on instead of 3 incapping him or using a groupmate to DB while they ran to a cloning center to kill the guy again. This isn't the first MMO I've played, but it is the first MMO I've played with Developer sanctioned griefing. It's also not the first time I've seen people try and defend being an asshat. I've seen people liken this BH griefing to Jedi sitting in water 500m out or afk macroing on rooftops, but I'm sorry it's just idiotic to try and compare them. AFK macroing is considered perfectly fine by the devs and CSRs, read your holocron help menu. Player harassment is bannable, also in your holocron. There is a huge distinction between destroying another person's character or gameplay and sitting afk grinding heals. They removed citywarn because asshats were doing exactly what BHs are doing now with their missions. Ruining another players experience and griefing the hell out of players.

You saw 40 eh? Put down the crack pipe. Exaggerating and making up stuff is not going to help your case.
As far as checking the clone centers on the hunting planets - that is the first thing I did when I started reading reports about BH clone camping. I didn't see any BH's in any clone facilities on any of those planets. Occasionally I ran across someone who had just cloned. No BH's standing around though.
There IS an issue and the devs are fixing it. But exaggeration and outright lying is not helping the situation - it just makes you lose credibility.
It's unbelievable that I might have seen 40 BHs spread across 3 planets in the cloning centers of 7 cities? You're talking about 5-6 BHs per city, what's so exaggerated about that? Maybe you should put the crack pipe down and step back. I should probably ask what server you are on and what time of the day you were checking. If you were on an American server during the European hours you probably didn't see anyone, but on my server at primetime there were. Honestly I don't care what you think my credibility is, what I saw is what I saw and if you don't believe me, then go online and check for yourself during primetime hours for your server. You WILL find BHs camping the cloning center, unless the CSRs have started banning them (I hope they have).

I agree with a lot of what you said Aenaey, but I will say that Jedi already have abilities and strengths above and beyond what other professions do. A higher generation sabre has to be one of the best weapons in the game.
While higher generation sabers made with all Krayt pearls are the highest damage melee weapons in the game, commandos have a slew of weapons that outdamage a saber. Sabers made with all crystals (even good ones) are very slow, normally around 6.8-7.9 and are no better in damage than a flamethrower. Most of the saber specials do not work correctly, the damage done by the saber is kinetic which is insanely resistable by anyone wearing halfway decent armor, and all the force powers work off the weapon you are using (i.e. kinetic also). I have to highly disagree with your assessment that Jedi are more powerful than any other profession at the moment. TKA can routinely kill Jedi, BHs do it all the time, and I've personally seen Master Brawlers kill Jedi Knights. Jedi in their current condition are weaker than most every pure combat class, not to mention the profession dabblers. Our skill trees were designed in beta and were designed assuming that Jedi could dabble in other professions. They removed that capability and left the Jedi tree alone. We are essentially a fraction of what we should be and there have been no balancing changes done during the entire time that the game has been live with the exception of removing permadeath. There is a reason why they are revamping the Jedi profession, it is still a representation of what Jedi should have been given that every other profession stayed as they were in beta.
Aenaey, I salute you.
To the reasonable BHs on the board who cleary see what is going on, I salute you as well. You have restored my faith that there are honorable individuals in your profession.
To the rest of the BHs who are chiming in with the random, "He got what he deserved", or "Jedi is supposed to be hard" BS, throwing your red herrings into the threads (eg. "Well, hey, it is fair because of all of the rooftop macroers!")......I can only say that you are proving every cliche/stereotype about your profession to be true.
On a side note, Reydon, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
