using a carbine is normally the quickest way

The first time i did bounty hunter (yes i'm on my second run through cos i love it and it's bugs) i worked my carbine/pistol xp out of coronet grouping with the sharn groups, but i was pretty much a noob back then, if you buff/brandy/80% comp then you could probably go solo on dant/dath or lok.

/agree

The quickest way at the moment is to join a solo group and hunt the biggest baddest things that pop up on the mission terms.

Not too sure if I'd totally agree there.

You don't want to attack too high for your level, or it'll just take far too long.
If you're really wanting to level, I'd go solo solo - not solo group - and just pick the highest paying missions you can.

For example (while levelling up swordsman for a melee prof)
I can clear out a Huurton Matron lair in 15 minutes - averaging 8 to 12 huurtons at 1800 to 2600 exp, then 3000 for the base
That's at least 20k experience

A single Rancor can take me 15 minutes at that same level due to extra resistances, and I don't get anywhere near that experience.
And after clearing the lair, it's not even sure if the money's the same - unless I'm doing money runs and just ignoring the rancors

Which do you think it better?

Ok if you only have the points left to do one tree in Fencer which one would be the best to do? I am mainly PvE but the city I live in has a base that I help to protect so I will be doing a lot more PvP. I was thinking that the Stances and Grips tree would be good, but so does the Tech tree.
Thanks
