I am currently 3322 in the imperial inquisition. I am doing the deliver a fake list mission. I've done it about 21 times now. Have you tried upgrading/a new ship? Or even just changing your components within the ship? Maybe you have and sorry if that is the case there was no intention to flame. I was stuck for ages on one of the reb missions, but noticed that I could quite easily destroy one ship at a time with lots to spare in my wepons capacitor, but my shields were failing under a large bombardment from the other ships. So I swaped a better shield component fo a weaker wepon, and there you go no more problems. Don't know if you could do anytinhg like this.

This post has really annoyed me for two reasons,

1) ALL content and I mean ALL content is soloable at the moment, remember when the corvette came out, how many people cried OMG this is too hard its impossible, ... now search for a solo guides for the corvett and see what you get. I know in-game people who have soloed the Deathwatch bunker and The Imp space missions to master (In what? ... only 3/4 weeks from launch), it just takes time, skill and tactics (yes tactics, this is not a first person shooter), unfortunatley maybe these things are not avalible readily for casual gamers, certinally the time, but it will come. The original poster stated that they had attempted the mission 21 times, well ok its hard, how many times did I try to complete the final level in Doom 3, errrm I'm sorry to admit it, but a few more than 21 times, did I write in the forums, boo - hoo this is too hard, nope just kept going, probably for far to long! untill I completed it. It has to be this way, there are people in this game that play in a group, or guild, so if the missions were easily soloable then what would they be for a group, but they are possible to solo, it just may take a long time.

2) To the two sides of this argument, neither of you would exist without the other .... I play mostly as a solo player, but once/twice a week I get together with some in-game friends from my city to go out and do stuff, this is possibly the most fun I have playing the game. On the other hand I play solo for most of the time because I am a UK resident playing on a US server, so there are not many people about somtimes, so I am glad I am actually able to complete things, but I do not try to take things above my weight, I'm not inclined to commiting suicide missions. These "hard" missions are for groups, that is how it was intended. Ok I'm getting away from JTL but the principle remains the same. This is ment to be a Persistent world game, how persistant is it if you can essensially complete it in a an afternoons playing?

For the guys who only play solo all the time, I can not stress enough the benifits of the group/guild sittuation if you are not attached give it a go, even if you can not be about much, just explain that, but realise that there are many players who play the game as a long time investment, so be patient with the harder missions, thet are there for that reason.

For the guys who are screaming guild, guild, guild, there are not enough of that type of player around to bank roll this games continuation. Accept the fact that some players play this game a form of light entertainment, it should be that way for them (not too easy however) they should not be critisised or insulted for not having any or many contacts in game, and they are allowing you to keep playing.

I have to say I am very much the solo player in SWG but, grouping up for missions in JTL is one of the most fun things you can do at the moment. I love it, being able to help someone who has been stuck on the same mission for days, its a nice feeling. Now all I need is for some help on mine hehe.

Trust me, nothing like working with other players to destroy that bloody annoying gunboat or whatever, not to mention the occasional random spawns that get in the way of your missions.

It will take time to find people to help you but keep trying, someone will come along at some point and, once you complete that mission that has been bugging you for ages you will get one hell of a buzz.

Congrats for you wedding Vema! I'm in the same situation as u,(exept the wedding). I am in this game since day one, I used to be in a great guild, then I left for a month and came back with a reduced friends list. I just don't like to take time to plan things and then wait for the people to join me in game. I'm online only about 1 or 2 hours a day so when I log, I don't have 30min to waste waiting for my friends to be ready. MMORPG are not only for groups! Oneof my real life friend reached level 53 soloing all the way inLineage.Advancement should not be stopped by our style of play.I'm not the kind of people that like to complain about everything. When I started this thread, I was only looking for people that would be able to give me advice, so stoptelling me"stop crying" "stop whining" "get friends".

I only got as far as I did because of the advice here. That got me to 2322. But I know that I'm not quite a good-enough pilot to do 3322 solo. Maybe someday. But I'd really prefer to team up and fly with a few buddies. I'd hurl myself at that mission more, but it was burning up my components. With the new missions coming in, I'll be able to cover my fricking costs somewhat. (Well, that and selling 70k of steel at 6per. Whohoo.)

I completed the 3332 Imperial Inquisition alone on the second try, and I find it pretty easy in fact. You must use hyperdrive to get out of problem.

When you have the list and you see something like 10 fighters coming at you, don't bother killing them, hyper to another quadrant of Dathomir and you'll be fine. (repeat if there's more fighters coming at you but basically you should be able to deliver the fake list w/o being annoyed).

Then you'll have to repair a shuttle and escort it... easy but don't forget to disable ships so less fighters will come.

That's where it can get dangerous because you'll have to disable an YKL shuttle (rebel master ship), its turrets are really powerful and you should disable weapon 0 at first (don't even try to fight other crafts is there is) when it's done focus on the engine, then disable any fighters around. /inspect, /dock, it's done.

The last part is on Naboo you'll have to deal with some A-Wings but you can hyper to another quadrant of Naboo too, and complete your mission.

Because this is a "multi player" game. Or did you think you were playing Jedi Knight or KOTOR?

You're missing the point. A casual gamer shouldn't be forced into grouping with someone if they like to solo. I'm a power-gamer and even I like to solo, and quite often. One person's enjoyment of the game shouldn't be made to suffer by forced grouping.

No, you are missing the point. Grouping is the point. It's a multi player game. A "GROUP" game. Again, if you don't enjoy playing with others, go play a game where you can play by yourself. That's all I'm saying. I'm happy that SOE finally got one right and is bringing back the group aspect to a game that is so horribly skewed when it comes to soloing it's ridiculous. Anyways, just my two creds.

fun points

1 - I play afternoons, on an US server, and do my missions the afternoons usually (less lag), and I got 2 ace toons (rebel and imp), it's really not that hard to find people unless you're on a very low population server.

2 - solo'd my way trough rebel ace (if you can't do privateer or imp, go rebel, nova is awesome), was a walk in the park, only had to group for corvette mission.

Made it to 3322 over the weekend. I tweaked around the ship a bit, dropped all of my ordinance, and flew like a maniac. I also adjusted a few buttons on my joystick. I can now easily target a reactor from my joystick and I can now target whatever I am pointing at. Both those adjustments made a big difference.

I'm now onto Imperial Inqusition 3.3, delivering the fake message. I do well until I hit the gunship, then I grind. I tried taking out the reactor, then the guns, but what happens is that before I disable all the gun, the gunship gets completely repaired and I have to start over. I took that reactor out five times before I made a mistake and got sent home like a whipped dog. Next time, I'll take someones advice and start with the guns, rather than the reactor. This should keep the auto-fix sequence from starting. That is to say, I take out the reactor last, then doc.

I know that I can take a-wings on the last step, so I'm not worried about those.

To be honest, I find both claims that this game is a GROUP game and that this game should be SOLOABLE kind of, erm, empty...

This game is both. If you're good enough and have the nerves, you can solo. If you are not that good, or don't have patience, or simply like to play in groups (like I do) you play in groups.

Nobody, not even the game mechanics, are forcing you to group. It completely ends at you.

You either;

1) Solo, have fun alone (if that's the preference), where it takes more time than necessary to finish the mission, might wreck your components and chassis after continual deaths and repairs, but asolo pilot might also end up in acing the mission in 3 times.

2) Group, have fun with friends and other people (if that's the preference), where it takes much shorter to finish a mission, one doesn't die at all, everything's easier, everyone gets a well sum of experience and more than one person benefits.

Real life is like this, too. If one's planning to do a task alone, that person MUST accept the consequences of it before it's even attempted. If you're a pirate and don't like to hang around with others, since you're so *badass* and roleplay as a *lone-wolf*, let me tell you something: it's not easy, unless you have exceptional skills.

Those who are CONSTANTLY whining about the non-soloability (which isn't even true!) MUST get this into their heads; you simply lack the capability to do it, but that doesn't mean you will never acquire it! To solo, it's assumed that you're a person who can handle every task by him/herself.

Those who are CONSTANTLY saying that this game is a GROUP game, PLEASE try to find another support for your argument, because it isn't a group game. It's preferable to group, but if you prefer to fight alone, go ahead!

It's typical. Group work usually speeds stuff up in EVERY aspect of real and virtual life.

I passed Imperial Inqusition 3.3 last night. With a little hyperspacing, and getting the guns on the Nova first, I made it through easy. Heck, at some points, I wasn't trying to get through. I was just building up faction points to buy my ST helmet.

Tonight, I try 3.4.

This is a multiplayer game. Find multiple players. Go to Theed, Coronet, talk to just about any same faction guild. There are people out there that will help.

At the very most it takes 4 people of the same skill/equipment level to do a mission.

I NEVER HEARD of someone who SOLOED one of the HARD TREES.....

(Maybe Luke or Vader?)

Hard trees are Imp: STORM, Privateer: SMUGGLER, Reb: VORTEX? (Not shure about that...)

I'm gonna raise the BS flag on that one.

On what? I meant, I have read such posts. Not soloed it myself.

So, like I said, do a search. There are many who have claimed to solo it. You said in your above post that no one said it. I was simply stating that yes, others have said it.

Claiming andProving are 2 totally different things. BTW I'm Bill Gates. See what I mean. You have no proof that I am....or am not Bill Gates.

In fact, I think if SOE did a check on how many people soloed 100% to master or even did a check on people that claim to Solo the master mission. It would turn up as Zero. Because unless your exploiting something; I don't think its really possible to solo to Master.

Most of the higher missions need atleast one group member. One person....and frankly all the people sayind "I'm a casual gamers...." Well thats nice, but your in for a rude awakening in the next few months. Because Groups....are going to be needed to do 95% of anything in this game. Just like it was more than a Year ago.

And for the people that claim MMORPG doesn't = Group you are very VERY wrong. This is the first MMO that I've ever been able to solo pretty much the whole game. Currently I can pretty muchsolo everything except for the DW Bunker that in the ground game. Sure it may take me a while, and heck I may even die....but if I wanted to I could do most of it by myself.

Space isn't like that, I can solo most things, and even if I can't beat them usually I know when to tuck tail and run. JTL addes and experience unknown to the ground. Skill......its not about a template, its about your skill as a human player. You either adapt to the changes, find a group, or keep on getting killed. No one is forcing anyone to group, but if you want to make it to master then you need to suck up your pride, and ask people to help.

Most people I've met had no problems with helping me, and in most cases the players I group with are far lower level. They don't have to be equal or higher. They just need a gun.
