Thanks, MeroVilul. It was easy to create a new aharacter. I would have found it myself if I hadn't skipped the intro...

what level do I need ; curently 1/0/0/0 ; to take out a level 18 dewback, I was able to take him out on the weekend and now since hes grown I cant take him out. Please help thanks in advance.

You need 1/1/0/0 to take him out.
If he's not already trained as a mount, you won't be able to get him trained until you get MGT IV and can train the transfer command so a Creature Empath or MCH can train him as a mount.

like they stated earlier...various status effects become negated...meditation4 makes you invincible vs. med centers but weak vs. cantinas...

What is the best pet, all levels, with the greatest HAM/Kinetic resist combination?

Graul Mauler easily. 9700 ham. Light armor. 75% kinetic resist. CL 34, found on dantooine. For other pets I suggest you check the FAQ pages. Some people will say rancor is best but they lack kinetic resist that the mauler has.

I just got CH yesterday and (after 8 unsuccesful attempts) finally managed to tame my first pet, a baby rill. I now have this really nooby question that you all are probably going to laugh at but how long does it take for the rill to grow up and how strong can it eventually become? Thanks in advance.

No one realy knows how long it takes for pets to grow.
I can tell you this tho, the more your on the faster they will grow. So far as to what he grows into, I have no idea. But I'm sure he/she will make you a fine starter pet.

I've seen that typically most pets from CL20 downwards take around 5 days to mature, there are a few exceptions as some go faster and some go slower but on the whole this is a pretty accurate average.
