I have to admit that he is right. I got through to master in about 7 hours, but I had absolutely no idea how to make the advanced droids. It can be quite complicated and details matter. I think there are a few threads stickied that show you which macros to use, and how many resources you will need. Probably 215k fiberplast and 475k steel..roughly.

I have been Jedi a little over a month. I have been killed by BH 2 times. I time before the revamp and one after. Both the same way. I can not find a way to deal with fire damage. After the patch I added fencer and TK defenses. But yesterday I fought a BH who used mind fire. Before the patch I died from tripple incapp, this time I was incapped and the BH DB'd me. Is there any skill that lets you helps against this or is fireknock down our greatest fear?

Thanks

Yes, 'on fire' is a state

It wasn't before, but in testing of this patch they changed it to be. /healAllStates and /totalHealSelf (or other) will get rid of fire

Hi everyone glad to be able to post finally. I was on the free trial and couldn't post my questions until I bought the game.
Okay here is my situation. I'm working on the marksman & scout professions. I'm at level 2 for all marksman skills except carbines. For the past couple of days when I go on the destroy missions I get mobs spawning around area of the mission way point that con red and are aggro. Is this supposed to happen. How does it determine the level of the mobs that spawn? Also is this the games way of telling me I can't solo anymore and need to group. I did my first 3 destroy missions alone and didn't have this problem.

Next question. Where the heck is everyone? I'm in Theed and I don't see many players. At first it wasn't a problem but for 2 days I've been unable to find anyone in Theed to train me in level 2 Carbines or to find a weapons smith to make the weapons i now certify in (there is no listing for them on the bazaar). I went to Coronet once it seems like thats where alot of people are. Why are they all in Coronet?

I can't think of any more questions right now. Oh yeah I'd also like to say since I've been playing I have been shocked at how nice veterans are to newbies. When I first spawned in Mos Eisley a person with a helper thingie asked me if I needed any help. Also when I first arrived in Theed another helper spent the afternoon with me helping me learn and she even gave me a speederbike. To all the veterans that go out of your way to help the newbies Thank you.

Coronet has built up to be a good place for new players to go to. There is easy access to the kind of range of animal missions that will let you get through low level and mid level skill boxes quite quickly. There are nearly always (not so much now tends to be more solo groups) group who are hunting sharnaffs. These ugly mf's are the staple diet of your typical low skill box grinders.

So you have a lot of people drawn to this planet to hunt and gain xp. As a result of that, its also a great place to grind crafting professions and sell what you make, after all the hunters need armour/weapons/buffs/food and perhaps some resources to make a few things. (hence why the bazaar is choca)

I started out on tatooine in anchorhead, no doubt i would of progressed much quicker if i'd gone to coronet to begin with. Only down side is it lags a bit and theres lots of spam or ppl to add to you ignore list.

Of course you should aim for the skills that will let you go it alone against high xp enemies first so you can join the numerous solo groups that spring up and do missions on your own.

Welcome in SWG

bout the missions, the mobs of the same type always have similar stats (a savage quencker will be approx. the same as another savage quenckers), the difference in mission difficulty can be the total of mobs you have to kil out of the lair to complete the mission, so be careful in "high level" planets, as even the lowest mobs can be a nightmare for you (for now, better avoid dathomir, endor, yavin4, dantooine, unless you have some great gear and want to powergrind). And yes, u can have mobs randomly spawning anywhere, including next to your mission, some might help you out, some might attack you, and some might do nothing at all.

for starting weapons, unless you have some nice money, stick to the bazaar ones and eventually put powerups on (carefull on high end weapons, cause powerups tend to speed up the decay). most of weaponsmiths/armorsmiths don't hang out in public places, crafting stuff for players, they have vendors all around the galaxy, so open your planetary map (ctrl/v) and look under "vendors"/"weapons" and find one close to you. u can also ask other players about where to find specific weapons. I don't play on your server so I can't help much here, but there might be some weaponsmiths who are better than others.

The big point of coronet is that the planet is approx in the center of the galaxy, u can easily get to most planets from there, so why coronet and not tyrenna or other cities ? I dunno.

just my advice: don't spam !

if you want your message to be seen, try stuff like "-------------------MY MESSAGE---------------------" and people will see it, don't worry if no one gives you an answer about it, it happens and doesn't mean that they didn't see your message, if your selling something that nobody wants (even tho you think it's cool) then spamming will only gets you in their ignore list, be aware of it.

welcome again in SWG, and good luck.

Lair spawns are somewhat random, and often appear for other players in the area (even if they are only biking through). The red lairs aren't the game's way of telling you to group ... they are more a consequence of semi-random spawn tables.

The con color of baddies is determined by your skill with the weapon you're actually holding. If you have low skill with pistol, but high skill with rifles, the baddie will con different colors depending on which gun you're holding.

Regardless, the /con system isn't all that functional right now. Combat is not balanced very well (some fighters are much more effective than other types) and as a result the /con colors are not always accurate. If you don't have any buffs, then you may want to pay attention to the /con color, but if you do have a buff the /con color is near meaningless.

Sorry to hear that Theed is deserted on your server. Theed usually has a fair amount of people in it because the starport there has zero wait time. Coronet, on the other hand, is probably busy on every server ... primarily because Corellia services more planets than any other. From Naboo you can travel to 5 other planets, but from Corellia you can travel to 7 other planets ... including all of the "harder" adventure planets.

If you're having difficulty finding weapons on the bazaar, try letting the bazaar search the entire planet or entire galaxy (option in the top left corner of the bazaar). If that still doesn't work, you could try looking at player's vendors (search for weapon vendors on the planetary map [CTRL+V]). Many weaponsmiths don't stock the lesser guns, though. You may have to make due with a lesser weapon until you qualify for the higher end guns. Alternately, don't be afraid to ask a Weaponsmith to hand craft a gun for you ... they may be able to make it for you immediately if they have all the right resources for it.

Good Luck!

H.

I also found Corillia a great place to hunt for decent XP, loot, mission payoffs etc. Most of my hunting done there while working on Scout, Swordsman and while mastering Marksman. Stay close to Coronet for a while, most of the needed rescources can be found there and there are plenty of mission terms around. The geographics around Coronet are easy to navigate.

As far as getting in on tough missions, it happens. The missions are generated more or less at random and sometimes you can find yourself ariving at one to be met with alot of unexpected mobs, thats what makes it fun. Be sure to clone yourself at whatever city your based in....lol. Yesterday while working on Pistols IV I was taking on Rogue Bagersets lairs. I like storing my swoopbike and sneaking into the lairs masked scent and quiet, Anyway I run into my mission lair to find another Rogue Bagerser lair thats spawed 4 mobs, a cat lair that has spawned @ 6 cats and 2 Humbaba's and all aggressive, hehe. So now Im in the middle of @ 18 aggrersive creatures, standing there with my pistol and one of the Bagersets smells me and thewhole bunch attack me at once. About 2 secs later, Im standing in the cloning center.......lol. If you find that this happens and you cant fight your way out of it, just abort the mission and get another.

- I quit. Im done Fairwell so long. The fun is gone. You can too
