wow i see people tlak aobut how nerfed tk is right now and yes it has bugs and some issues that need resolved but can i say one thing here to put something in perspective tk is not supposed ot be an uber pvp class

look at this way in RL a fight starts adn one guy pulls a gun who would you bet on an unarmed guy or the guy with a gun?

we do not not need a ranged kd (nor does anyone in my opinion) we are up close and personal fighters tanks if you will if you get a kd off against a ranged user they are toast more often than not considering they are already eating melee d hits for using ranged weapons but at a distance i should got shot to pieces

i cant believe how many different people are saying some stuff that makes no sense in these threads (including ad a ranged attack for tk that does etc.) if you want to have ranged attack pick upa gun and shoot something if you want to kick the crap out of stuff and still have to spit a couple teeth out when oyur done tk is the way to go

Well . Now we will have some direction on what do to . To this end i say woot. Now to find out what else... if part of it is mastering a certain profession then cool ill jump through the hoops. Now something that comes to mind is this .

We have to master one certain class and now thats a givin but what about our other choices. is it posible that we have to mold our self to be the missing part ofthe puzzle .... what i mean by this is ok so someone gets master dancer as part of what they need to do what if along with master dancer they also need to be a master creature handler or such. personly once i get the one that it tells me im going to just keep mastering and droping other classes till it seems the puzzle is complete.

I have been reading the post here and I was thinking that maybe you don't have to get Master in all of the professions just master 1 of the catagories of each. While in the process of mastering the trade you have to train others on the skills you have aquired, and maybe even train master of each one you obtain to someone before moving to the next profession. It did say that roleplaying was going to rely heavy on becoming a Jedi. This is just a thought I had after reading about the Quiet Holocron.
Master an Elete trade in:

Entertaining: Musician Dancer Image Designer
Crafting: Chef Architect Armorsmith Tailor Weaponsmith
Support: Ranger Combat Medic Doctor Squad Leader
Ranged combat: Rifleman Bounty Hunter Carbineer Commando Pistoleer
Mellee combat: Pikeman Fencer Teras Kasi Swordsman
General(?): Creature Handler Bio-Engineer Droid Engineer Smuggler Merchant

After all, the holocron's are part of the path and NOT the only prerequsit to becomeing a Jedi. If mastering all trades was it then there would be Jedi's already from the post I have read. Becoming a Master might not be enough and what better way to be a good master than to train those that need it this truely shows you have mastered a profession when you can train someone on theways of that trade.

I am the Wookie thats incapped not far from you.

Pre Holo Mastered : Scout, Pikeman, Creature Handler.
Holo Mastered: Medic, Combat Medic, Doctor, Marksman, Riffleman and now the Holo's has gone silent

how about asking the devs to introduce another kind of slice.

certification at master smuggler

name: russian roulette slice

this slice would have a fifty percent chance of being successful or failing. a success would result in a 45% increase in either damage or speed (still random) and a failure would result in instant and complete destruction of the weapon.

this kind of a slice will also result in customers forming close ties with their smuggler since the smuggler could claim the weapon got destroyed even if it wasn't ( and so trust will play a big factor). it would also allow you guys to live up to the role of dirty thieves if that is what rocks your boat. either way the customer will know what the risks are beforehand .

just picture this. " hmm should i risk getting my uber krayt +130 damage -.8 speed speed weapon that cost me 3 million or should i play it safe with a regular slice"

anyway its just an idea so no need to flame if you think its retarded.

Ah, the weekly "pets should turn on their owners" post. Was starting to think the little trolls of the world were forgetting about their weekly visit.

First off, the suggestion is about the lamest thing to possibly suggest for a creature handler. Anything which adds another element of random-ness, to a game that is polluted with bad pathing, warping, auto-storing to datapad, pets wandering from combat, ect, ect, ect is about as smart as trying to change a light bulb with a hammer. Pets eat their owners? Guess which profession never gets invited to any group ever again, who wants to run several thousand meters only to be wiped out by someone's pet. Don't believe me? Ask how many raid leaders in EQ allow pets in their excursions.

Second off, your Sigfreid and Roy comment? In case you missed it, this game is Science FICTION. If you are unsure of what FICTION means, please consult a dictionary.

Thirdly, the problem with this game is NOT that CH pets are overpowered. It is the fact that they are a requirement. No other profession in this game can mitigate enough damage to be able to suceed in challanging encounters, so pets become manditory.Players needing pets is the symptom, not the problem. Give other professions the skills to mitigate damage, fix those professions, fix the problem. Give players the choices on how to mitigate incoming damage, the reliance on purely pet power goes away. Other professions are happy, CH's are happy to be left as is. Everyone is a winner.

So, before you go off making any kind of suggestion which has the potential to frustrate this profession more, take the time to actually figure out the real problem you are trying to suggest a fix for, which you quiet obviously have not bothered to do.

I just thought I'd make a small post saying how happy I am being a dancer. I hardly come to this board because it always seems to be the same old discussions over and over. Sure there are flaws, and stuff that bugs me, but *shrugs* to me, the more time I focus on that stuff, the less fun I'll have.

I started this game not looking to dance but tried it once, deleted her, and made Boci my dancin fishy. I put a lot of thought and time into her, and have never afk'd it once. I don't agree with afk'ing your way to the top, but lol what can I do about it? Nothing It doesn't matter so much to me anymore anyway, I just go and have a blast. I enjoyed working my way to master, and as master unlike many of my friends that have given up on the profession I still enjoy it. I did take a break (mainly to relieve rl stress) and hunted for a bit, yet I still danced daily, and then even that got to me and all I wanted to do was dance

*shrugs* I just wanted to post something happy and positive for once. There almost always seems to be an arguement -- lol take a break, do Basic one and just laugh at yourself for a moment =) Hehe, always makes me laugh.....

Anyway,

--this lil depressed fishy just wantin to dance but has to go to work--

Juba, it's a brilliant suggestion, leave it be. Here are some other ones:

Just a thought...perhaps guns should have a chance of exploding in their user's hands when firing, doing Last Ditch damage to the user and everyone else around them? I'm sure that would make it more "interesting".

Just a thought...perhaps a TKA, fencer or pikeman would have a chance of a critical miss and stabbing themselves (or a teammate) in the foot or head, killing them instantly? I'm sure that would make it more "interesting".

Just a thought...perhaps armor users would have a chance of slipping and falling because of the encumbrance, and cut themselves up badly inside of the armor because it doesn't include padding, thus taking HAM wound damage equal to their armor's current condition? I'm sure that would make it more "interesting".

Just a thought...perhaps shuttle craft would have a chance of crashing down on top of the people waiting at the ticket collector, killing them all instantly? I'm sure that would make it more "interesting".

Just a thought...perhpas jedi/sith/whatever holocrons have a chance of completelyerasing your character upon use?I'm sure that would make it more "interesting".

Interesting = stupid, apparently.

Ah Jubba go f your self pal. I knew at least one foool little l33t child would show up and bitch about a good suggestion. So here we have it lets hope this fools parents refuse to pay for his game time this way we do not have to liten to him ever again.

This post that I made had nothing to do with nerfing or any other retarted term players like you want to use to sound cool. What it was was a suggestion for adding some dimension to a rather boring trade.

Ah and L or what ever your name is you obviously have some kind of inate problem with your mind. What I suggested is a very possible out come of trying to control an animal that is stronger and larger than A human or any other species in this game. Then again maybe you should just shoot yourself and do yourself a favor, freaking retarted moronic children.

I have been trying ch for just a little while here but to me at least this entire class seems absurd. This honestly bores the hell out of me and just ruins the fun in this game.

Here's a thought. Don't play a CH if you hate it. Please, surrender your skills, do us all a favor and surrender them.

Really? You've handled Rancors in real life then?

Actually, most of my suggestions are real-life outcomes to these possible scenarios.Weapon-usersand other melee people in real life do make mistakes and hurt people they're with. Guns do explode in people's hands. Planes/shuttles do crash and kill people. People who have to wear armor are a great deal more clumsy/encumbered than people who don't wear armor.

So I guess the jedi holocron thing was a bit unrealistic. But every single one I've handled in real life has turned out fine, so maybe I'm wrong.

As someone else suggested, if you really hate CH so much and think it's "boring" then don't play it, play another profession. Leave the creatures to those who can handle them and move along.
