I am waiting for the other end of this debate (you) to catch up to speed (understand the definitions and contexts of my words). LOL!

First things first - I am an Imperial Pilot, and will never get to fly either a YT-1300, a YT-2400 (if they put it in), or a Naboo N-1 starfighter, because they're all "privateer" ships. Nor will I ever get to fly a Z-95, any of the Hutt fighters, or any of the Y or X or A or B-wing variants. However, I feel that I should point a couple things out.

1) Per most of what I've read/played/watched, the Star Wars galaxy has pretty much stagnated in technological growth for several THOUSAND years. Lightsabers, blasters, .5 hyper drives, they've all been around since KOTOR time, which last I heard had the Lucas stamp of approval. So arguing that the N1 is old isn't really an argument at all, as things really haven't changed in 2000 years.

2) All Naboo ships, if I read the "Guide To Vehicles" correctly, are hand-crafted. Not just the royal ships, ALL of them, even the fighters. Think of the Royal Naboo Shipwrights as really good Italian engineers, building sports cars one at a time, that all basically look the same and have basically the same parts in them, but are all unique because they weren't created on an assembly line. So yes, it's entirely possible that those engineers kept their "babies" up to snuff, and an N1 wouldn't necessarily be worse than a Z-95 or even an X-wing. They're all hand-made, these guys have access to most of the same tech as other ship builders, and nothing says they can't soup them up.

3) Canon? I scoff at you all. Besides the Jedi thing, you have the static status of Darth Vader (who should be on the Executor running from planet to planet trying to find the pilot that just destroyed the Death Star), you have Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, all staying in one location for over a year now when they should be moving around to keep a step ahead of Vader, and you have the Emporer acting like an American president and hiding at his "Camp David" for the entire time as well. And look at poor Mara Jade, she's been stuck standing out in the woods the entire time, when she should also be pursuing Skywalker and crew! This isn't one of the films, guys. It's a game, set between a couple films,and it'salready ignored a large part of what "should" be happening. Not that I'm complaining, 'cause I'd be a liar if I said I didn't want to eventually make it to Jedi too, but accept it for what it is - just a game. These guys would like to see the N1. Personally, I'd almost like to see like an N2 or something new, that looked similar, that was assigned to them when they chose to join the RSF. I also think that Corsec should have their own personal fighter, there are plenty of Corellian ships in the guides to choose from if you feel it should "fit."

All in all, it's not an unreasonable request. And probably a lot easier than what I'd really like to have in the game - Coruscant.
