If SOE really believes that PVP is the minority and basically makes this game so you can't attack other players that are on the other side then they're going to lose a lot of the fanbase that they were hoping to get by making this expansion. PVP is different in space because it's not a master jedi vs a master chef. It's two players that are in ships and skill is required for one to win. If you don't have the skill to hold your own in any PVP, you aren't going to have the skill to do the PvE either. Sorry, but that's the truth.

I didn't pick up SWG when it was released because of what I was afraid of what they'd turn the space expansion into, (mouse only contrals ala EB rpg skill based etc) when I heard it was twitch based my gut responce was "I'm there!"

I never thought they'd do something this stupid.

I'm in a Tie Fighter, the exact IMAGE of the oppression, you see me and your in an Xwing. Guess what, I'm covert so you can't touch me! Let's all sing the carebear song!

besides...can u tell me what the differance is between npc combat and pvp....i mean hard solid differance,that make them seem totally differant through a foggy windo(like we copuld tell whos npc and whos pc

for some people it may be a good thing but its so unrealistic. If im imperial and i see an x-wing shoot down a tie, Why should i not be able to attack the rebel that did it.

I hope to god you're kidding. It's like playing BF1942 in single player mode vs. online. Artificial retardation vs actual intelligance (somewhat debatable ).

Neutrals flying Imperial hardware? Then make that Imperial fighter attackable by all the other Imperial ships in the area since it's stolen. I have no issues with a covert Xwing and an over T/F, but when it's switched somethings screwed up.

ok here is another example. say that you are in your tie fighter and just fought off a whole hoard of NPC X-wings. you lost your wingman and your ship is really damaged, you are trying to fly to the nearest station so you can land and fix your ship when you run into a whole reb guild in their A-wings that just happen to come by, since you are TEF'ed you are TOAST.


that doesnt sound fair to those that just dont like the idea of fighting other players... i dont get why you people dont GRASP the idea that PVP should be against PVP players and thats all. just ignore the coverts.




no one has satified my question as to WHY PVPer's enjoy fighting PVEer's.. or why PVP shouldntonly fight PVP.



with that im done, if you guys wont use your brains and stop being so stubborn youll never be happy. PVPer's will have content. believe me youll get over seeing coverts in space.... and more could be patched later. but SOE needs to also let the people that chose not to participate in PVP to play how they want. whether PVP is equal in space or not.

personaly i hate pvp, and i hate being forced overt to have some fun with the gcw... i dont wanna be doing some fun missions for me, being able to fly and do battle... without being attacked by another player, after all, once i start combat i usualy already know all the enemies nearby (npc wise) and keep track of them pretty well, but anyone new into my range i wont notice, perhaps not even until im a dead man...

also lets say im one person, im taking on some missions, having good time, just soloing off in space, then im attacked by like a group of 10 imps who are just running around killing anything they see. im dead, considering they have the npcs im attacking with them, and they got a bunch of pals with them... unless your SUPER SUPER good, ur a dead man, no fun...

another thing, my system isnt the best... pvp you need like the best of the best to be able to compeate... i have a sucky old joystick that barely functions right, and im considering just doing it by keyboard, and maybe some day buying a new joystick, dunno yet... also i know people who dont have good inet connection, which also puts them at a major disadvantage...

overall, id love a pvp switch... i hate pvp'ers who love killing pve'ers.. why do you like ruining the game for other players who have no want to fight you? who probably dont have a chance... like on the ground i usualy MAY have one combat profesion, but i usualy stick in the artisan areas, but i gotta be SO careful with tef's and stuff its annoying, cause some pvp'er whos all combat and loves killing people for some reason could kill me in a second...

Reason why I'm pushing this so hard now is because after it's released it will already be too late, PVP in SWG was supposed to be around battlefields, where are they? Removed. We don't mean jack to SOE, if we don't have one bastion to go to then what will we have? Nothing.
