ships wont be hideously expensive tho thats my point theyll be less than amillion quid even at their very dearest and i cant imagine sellign anywhere near that much.
Remember ppl foolishly pay 3million for a bloody carpet!!!!!
The buyer will dictate the markets direction as a whole, as in real life, if you cant afford something because you think its overpriced, dont bloody well buy it lol.
Some of your points were valid m8, and yeah the gougers will be there from the off sadly
but sooner rather than later we'll see reasonable pricing and the gougers falling by the wayside.
Crap parts are going to be a problem at first i agree, but that will only be a problem untill ppl get used to picking out the good from the bad. Once they learn this kinda detail it too will become an outmoded problem. Which is why i say that if we want the SW market to work, we need to work together in our methods and by educating the newer players and uneducated buyers in what they should and shouldnt buy. Treat your ships like any goods you want to sell, explain the good and the bad points of your product, explain your pricing and offer support and back up to your customers. You do all this and offer value for money(whilst still making a living) and youve cracked it m8

I don't see it taking 30 mins to make a ship. I was a master SW on beta and I can make a ship with all components in under 10 mins.
Exactly. And people will help look for resources once folks get used to the list needed. I can't tell you the number of posts I read saying that my Wookiee would NEVER find an armorsmith to make Kashyyykian hunting armor -- too many resources, pain to craft, it will cost a couple million per suit, etc. Guess what? I have no problem finding hunting armor, and at no greater price than a good suit of composite.
Yes, but composite is so overpriced already (I was an armorsmith, I know of what I speak) that the people who wanted to charge millions for Kash armor simply wanted to maintain their composite profit margins. Selling it at comp prices is still making them money hand-over-fist.
The Tier 1 ship uses several times the resources of composite armor and will certainly sell for a fraction (and a small fraction at that) of the price.

Well, not every SW will be charging just to make the highest profit. Some, I'm sure, will be charging to give themselves a reasonable profit while also charging for what it costs to supply the resources needed through third party resource collectors. In this way, the resource collectors do have a hold on the price of the finished product. We've seen it before in the instance of avian and herb meat for Doctors when they need to buy meat for their buff packs. An increase in resource prices will definitely affect the overall outcome of product prices.
