Of course I am not a dev nor do I qualify to make such assumptions, but if I may -

issues:

*targets are invincible

*lasers shoot through targets

*timing of the shots is missed up (you have to shoot way ahead to hit, not into the designated lead box)

*thought to be fixed in beta, back again (when server populations increased)

if it smells like a lag issue, if it looks like a lag issue, if it feels like a lag issue - it probably is. What I think may be happening is either the ship has been destroyed long ago and the client is not aware of it or the ship is elsewhere.

I have had this problem in the beta, let me describe it and I hope it helps you pinpoint it:

As I was hunting rebel spy TIEs, many of them would just sit there as I got them to 0%. Some also hung up and I could shoot through them. I was getting no xp so I /buggedit andswitched to something else. After about 10 minutes, my screen all of a sudden was spammed with messages about me gaining xp over and over, and I qualified for the next tier. After some counting, I realized that that xp from the TIEs I have killed earlier - but because of lag they seemed invincible and I only got the "kills" later.

True and other people having it happen with other types of weapons too makes me agree that it's probably something else. I've flown through Tier 1 and some of Tier 2 the last couple of days without it happening in my TIE ships so not sure what the difference is between me and those of you that have the problem. I'll see what I can find out.

Thank you. And to answer someone elses question, I was shooting from just about every angle imaginable. I was going for rear shots mostly, but I took whatever I could get. At one point I had a tie fighter disabled and was 100m away from them and shot them right through their front and tey took no damage. My bolts just went right through their chassis and they didn't have the damage animation with the sparks flying everywhere that they normally get when damaged.

Was this against all sorts of different ships or just against TIE Fighters? And it only happened while you were in your Y-Wing, not in your Z-95 correct?

I experienced the same thing tonight flying a Y-Wing (not a longprobe) using player crafted mid-grade blasters (red) in the frontof the shipfighting against TIE fighters. What should have been hits were missing *very* regularly -- when I switched to a crafter Z-95 I had no problem hitting the same TIEs. I did not test against any other types of ships.

Ok, i know a nice big handful of my friends are having this same problem, this isnt related to space combat, but its a bug, nonetheless.

Ive been playing since January 31st(well over 6 months). I went to claim my veteran reward after i bought JTL, and it says ive only been playing for 90 days? I spoke to 3 csr's and they had me type in some sort of time checker to see how long ive been playing, and it said only 132 days? The yacht is awarded to those who have had consistent accounts for 6 months. I havent had my account lapse, i never had to cancel, and when my subscription came up, i bought it early so it didnt lapse over. I play just about every day whether its for hours or just to check email.

SO, i have well over 6 months(180 days) in game...........ive spoken to 3 csr's and they all told me to check the forums. Why shoudl i spend my time to check the forums? Granted i do every now and again, but im a paying customer.....my account obviously says ive been around 6 months. I bought JTL cuz i was promised this awesome yacht. And, not to my surprise, broken promises and bugs galore, and answers from csr's that dont lead me anywhere.

Oh, on another note, i did have the yacht in beta........just not in live. Which is even more aggrivating.

Devs told me to check forums, and i am i see nothing about it yet.

Not surprised.........not expecting my yacht, am expecting not to renew my account when the time comes.....

To hit targets I found it best to ignore the target and just lead the lead reticule a little bit.

As far as I can tell if your over the reticule and pull the trigger you get a hit. Even if the NPC is in the middle of a tight turn and the reticule is off in space at a point the ship never goes. Most shots that score look like the were in front of the target, most shots that look like they hit and throw up the shield graphics are misses.

This and the really short range make me think they had to cut some corners and there aren't really projectiles in the game. Just scored as a hit if your aiming at the right place when the trigger is pulled and the rest is fancy graphics.

1) I use my mouse to fly - I just find it more accurate then my joystick...in some cases. Anway, if I'm flying in my Sub and I zoom out and target a ship/station and thenzoom back in andtab to a different target, my in-cockpit camera will then focus on the new target.Causing mycamera to turn away from the controls. Even if the target is behind me, the camera will turn around as if I'm looking at the door leading out of the cockpit. I find this happening only in the Sub.

I can fix it by leaving the pilot's chair and then getting back into it.

2) While flying with my mouse, I find it too be too sensitive to my movement. So I drop the mouse sensitivity bar down to about 1/4 of the way. But, when I'm back on the ground I have to put the sensitivity bar back up to where I like it for the ground-game. I find it annoying to have to keep adjusting it. Is there anyway I can keep the ship from reacting to the slightest little movement of the mouse?

I had the "invincible TIE" problem. After getting my first Rebel box, I took the destroy TIEs mission(where waves of TIEs attack). I went up to the (unknown) aces level before I failed. And every so often I can't do a speck of damage to the TIEs. This was all in the freeby Z-95.

I think it has to do with lag though or a sync-up between systems, like when the client-server are out of sync, you can't hit a thing.

I can shoot dead at a TIE, all angles, for a minute or two and do no damage whatsoever. Then I "rubberband" and can blow them up in about 5 seconds. I'm assuming it's the rubberbanding that resyncs the client-server info.

This seems pretty consistent in my experience.I just fly in loops avoiding getting shot til I see the rubberband effect then go after the TIEs again. It's very annoying though. And I hope it gets fixed ASAP.

PS on a bug related note: I filled in my 6th fs line yesterday and today had about 10 old men jump me at once at a shuttle. It was kinda funny actually.
