If you value your sanity, do NOT start Rebel pilot training on Naboo - doing the 2nd row missions on Dantooine is absolute madness.

so true!! the second row from dantooine is going really slow for me. First of all, you have to go to the abandoned rebel base near FF to get your missions, land at Agro, shuttle to FF, ride to abandoned base, then back to FF, back to Agro, then to space.

Ok this done, its up for the imperial patrol dogfights, i can do well on these, but after they are done, i keep getting killed by some lvl 4 skyck guys. So, i have to hyperspace to Corellia for complete repairs, they can't do them at dantooine, then back to Dantooine space station, land at Agro, fly to FF, ride to base, and back again!! geez and I only have 20k exp now, i need alot more !

if your looking to do the shipwright profession, remember you will not be able to make tier 2 ships at a public crafting station.

get a private one from an architect

dont be afraid to ask questions, but be polite when you do so. dont say things like "I want training now!!!!!!" send /tell say Hi. do you mind if i ask for some training?" or something like that.

dont be afraid to ask for help, but dont beg for credits. if you ask someone to help you with a mission in order for you to get credits they are more likley to help than if you just asked them to give you cash.

the starter ships are generaly bad try to get a new ship as soon as possible, even if its just a player made version of the starter ship.

if you see a player in the ground game like a wookie, and you dont understand what they are saying ask someone to kindly teach you the languages.

dont grind the game, play the game to have fun.

I'm going to jump on the mouse/keyboard 'bandwagon'. I've got a logitech cordless, thumbwheel mouse. I'm sure that's probably not the right name for it, but you move the cursor by rolling the ball with your thumb so that's what I call it. Anyway, I didn't have a joystick when I bought JTL so I learned to navigate with this. Last weekend I went out and bought a 41$ joystick to see if that would improve things for me, and it was a complete waste of money. Sure, the programmable buttons make it easier by having all your commands close together, but I was having a MUCH harder time targeting enemies and staying with them. I suppose its what you get used to, but that rollerball allows me very precise movements in any direction with no deadspace worries. Guess the joystick will make a good paperweight till I buy a flight sim that requires one.
