If you can find a Smuggler who is also neutral Master Pilot preferably a friend. He can take unprogrammed control chips and put his commands in them. Then all you do is load them up in your droid control module, preferably a v6. Then your good to go on capacitor regen and engine overload. I can't recall precisely at this time what the commands are, but i'll look it up and edit this post. Also if you have a Reb friend who is a Smuggler he can program you a chip with the Shield Regen.

Why ya posting FAQ grade stuff for Vegitaa? We KNOW how to get cross faction programs, Vegitaa is talking about the fact that WO3 is bugged.

PS- If there's a Rebel program that increases shield regen, I don't know about it, so either you need to take a nap, or read the Droid command guide in the pilot forums.

I go overt every time i go into space. only 4433 lev atm. so i go to kessel and high teir spawns, this is purely for FP but i have taken part in PvP in space as well. if i'm after loot for my Shipwright business i go for teir2,3,&4 spawns

heheh thanks for trying to help me figure out that pesky Programmed Droid chip thing.. but.. it's also pretty easy to just buy any Prog you need off the galaxy bazaar.

I try not to toot my own horn but I helped Viduus with a few of his FAQ's (edittor.. lmao) not too mention I'm sitting on Ace 3 now, so I'm coming from a place of experience here (as is Psikobunny btw..)

I know that most pilots eventually get to a place where they want to PvP. This means they would also like it to be "generally" fair. As honorable pilots we want a challenge but we don't want some guy flying by and hitting us with Force Lightning if you know what I mean.

It is very true that the Droid Programs are bugged (since before JTL launched), the pilots knew this but of course we all use them. Think of it currently like Buffs in Space. Now the intended way they were supposed to work was "risk vs reward". Currently some programs do not have the "risk" part right now. So they either don't drain reactors right, or don't decay parts right.. whatever.

Needless to say, If you head to DS you will find most players are running the following programs...

Reactor Overload 3 (Nuetral prog...)

Engine Overload 3 (Imp prog)

Weapon Overload 3 (Imp prog)

Capacitor Overload 3 (Nuetral prog)

Shield Reinforcement Front 3 (Rebel prog)

Shield Reinforcement Back 3 (Rebel prog)

Capacitor to Shield Shunt 3 (Nuetral Prog)

So, no matter what faction you can run these at any level of your pilot progression. Problem is that all of this is supposed to have a pretty serious cost to performance/decay/etc.. currently it's bugged. In addition when I'm running Weapon Overload 3 that means take the 14k Max Damage i do now, ad 33% to that. Now when I come at you and shoot you... your shields have how much protection?

So, lets say you have a shield that gives you 2550 protection front and back. Plus you have some serious armour lets say 3250 front and back... So, add up how much protection you have in the front.. 2550 + 3250 = 5800 points of protection in your front. I take you head on, fire one blast. I have 14,000 max damage possible + Weapon Overload 3 (33% increase in max damage) = close to 20,000 points of damage in your windshield. 20,000 - 5800 = 14,200 points of damage screaming through your cockpit and probably even toasting your rear armour before you blow.

Needless to say, I would rather have to hit you more than once. Also I don't want anything getting NERF'ed. So fixing the Droid Programs is a start. The rest should be tested.. but thats wishful thinking as far as SWG is concerned.

Nice sig change vegitaa.

I'm bumping the proposal I put up a couple weeks ago about changing droid programs, since this topic has gotten around to it again. Anyone interested in thinking out of the box, and finding constructive ways to improve PvP and the space economy in general, please take a look.

Yup, tangled with a krayt in Deep Space last night, on our Side we had two Interceptors. We tied the Krayt more or less (killed him 3 times, lost 3 Interceptors), but any hit by it usually blew one squint away, and we needed a couple hits to take him down.

I'll have to see if I can get EO4 to run, hopefully RO4 will do the job.

RO4 seems to up your energy output by 10x, so you should be able to work something out. I actually had to put an RE'd level 4 reactor in my Interceptor to deal with the EO4 energy demands, though I may be able to drop back to a level 1 once I finally RE my new engine. So Overload 4's a bit of a hassle, but it's nothing that really prevents a pilot from using it if s/he's willing to wait to RE the right parts, or drop 1-2K more mass on a heavier reactor.

Speaking of REing.. Ramona, if you hear about anyone with level 6s with 69+ pitch or yaw, let me know. This engine's turning into a serious pain to put together.

Hm... if RO4 is that good I should be set. RO3 definetly can't handle EO4, I lose all weapons when I try it. Energy demand of the engine is at 1400 to 1500 nominally.

You try running RO4 on a player made L1 reactor? Personnally i got a bunch of em at like 11.5K output, i consider them disposable like MK I or MK II armor (repair it more than once, i toss it). L1 reactors are cheap, who cares if you grind it to a nub?

Well, I fly with a crafted shield (high drain), a chaff launcher, and a missile launcher on top of my weapon, booster, DI, and 1500-drain engine, so my best crafted level 1s couldn't handle it. Level 3s couldn't, either--but the difference between 13314 and 13750 or so was enough to run everything.

Once I RE my new engine (1250 energy drain or so), I should be able to use a level 1 reactor.. but that's proving to be a Sisyphean task. As soon as I think I've got a stat high enough to keep, I'll loot or hear about one that's even better, prompting me to start the hunt again. Such a pain.

What ship we talking about here anyway?

Personnaly ive gotten a T/A with loaded to the hilt with twin L7 cannons, booster, chaff, etc etc and had it at or below 11.5K power needed to run it all. (im a spannerwrench junky from hell, i RE everything that goes into my ship save shield/booster/armor)

You might consider getting a new MK IV shield made (thats what your using im assuming). The old train of thought was to use an intensifer in the shield to boost the F/B hitpoints, but it increases enrgy useage. Personally i use err i thnk its a booster component in my shields. Instead of increasing enrgy output, it cuts on the shield regen rate. But thats what CTSS4 is for! so phhht on shield recharge.

Don't mind me im bored.

I don't go overt in space, unless heading to DS. I would love to be able to pvp in other zones, but I can't take the amount of decay/don't have time to constantly replace items via shopping/looting.

It's an Interceptor. Advanceds are for wusses.

Were you running EO4 on that setup? It's a necessity for me to do that to keep up with the Rebel aces I've got to contend with. Some of them are running some ridiculously nasty A-Wings. Not to mention being unpleasantly awesome pilots. Need every advantage I can get.

That's a really interesting idea about shields. I put intensifiers in all mine, as it just seems the generally effective way to go, but the 400 or whatever extra energy drain may actually make a difference here. On the other hand, if I just have to cut down my armor a bit to fit a slightly bigger reactor, I might feel better about keeping a higher recharge rate.

This should all be moot once I RE my new engine, though. The energy drain will drop from over 1500 to about 1250, which ought to let me drop my reactor to an RE'd 3 or even the looted 1 I've got that's got like 12650 energy. Then I just have to decide whether to pull out all my armor to upgrade my level 6 gun to an RE'd Boltdriver, or upgrade the armor to Mk IIs front and back.

Decisions, decisions.. I'm a bit of a spannerwrench junky, too.

My Opressor with 2400 shields got one-shotted over the weekend. Yup. That's what's wrong with the system.
