Heres the Rig I built in january to run Galaxies on-

AMD Athlon 64 3200 +

ASUS K8V mobo

512 megs Kingston499mhz DDR PC3200RAM

Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb agp 8X

430watt Antec True Power Psu

Western Digital 80GB 72000 RPM 8mb cache

It runs great curently, except for the fact that im having some problems getting my radeon drivers to not cause me to crash every now and then. Any ideas on upgrades for JTL? I was thinking of upgrading the RAM to 1 Gig, and maybee a harddrive with a 16 mb cache so i wasnt waiting as much for load times. And of course if i could get my hands on a 256mb graphics card cheap, id love to have one =)

I was thinking of making my own computer as well. I will probably wait another year tho since mine runs quite good yet. Im waiting for the new line of alienwares that will run dual PCI-express cards and are said to be 50% better than the high end computers that are out now. These are said to start around 4k anyway, but I have some time to save up.

My computer is a

Pentium 4 2.4ghz processor

1024mb DDR 333mhz 2700 memory

Radeon 9600SE 128mb memory

plus the other stuff like a burner and such that doesnt affect the gameplay much anyway

Ya, those sites look good. Just remember: If yur looking for single components to upgrade (like Video Card, RAM) use TIgerdirect or Newegg. In my opinion, those 2 are best.

um...im sorta lost. I dont see any website about a new comp except the one about the PAT.

However, I found a wicked nice site called www.ibuypower.com

maybe some of you heard about it. But I priced a comp on www.dell.com. I was going to get a new XPS with radeon x800, 1024 ram, and a 120 gig hard drive with cd burner for 2400.. instead, this is what im getting..

3.2 ghz pentium 4.

1024 ram

120 gig hdd

radeon x800 platinum edition

17in LCD screen(opposed to the 19 in. CRT i have now)

dvd and cd burner

wireless logitech mouse and keyboard

and it has a nice design and lights up from inside

all that for a total of 1600. thats $800 I save and get more stuff than dell. Not saying dell is a bad company, but i looked around and if you do the same, you can find great deals
