This is agame for crying out loud, so stop constantly comparing itto the movies. Just because you didn't see blackmales or aliensin the Imperial forces in the movies does not mean they weren't there.
Every military or armed force has its discipline regardless of the type of government, fascist or republic or communist, that it belongs to. You can't go and paint the F-117 you're flying in whichever color you prefer, can you? You probably can if it's your plane, but it's not; it belongs to the USAF. However, in JtL, unlike other games like X-Wing or TIE Fighter, even thoughyou're flying for the Rebellion orEmpire, there isn't anyreal sense of being in a military force at all.You purchase and repairyour ships with your own money;the components you use are either loot orbought from other private citizens in the game. So the shipsI pliotare indeedmy ships. I feel like a mercenary rather than an Imperial naval aviator. Another reason why I enjoy playing XWA more.

THough the rebels are a more organized fleet in Space they also are allowed to customize their ships. If you have read any books or seen the movies the x-wings at least always have diffrent color marking that show what sqadron they are from while the Imerials always had the plain black TIES(excpet for teh 181st which had a red stripe on the side of their interceptors) and all there capital ships were White as white can be (except when we blowem up) The rebels value there independance and what better way than to show diffrent looks on thereships. An since there capital ships came from everywhere they all have diffrent colors marking where they are from.
Irrelevant, because the paint jobs in this game go far beyond squadron colors, I've seen Reb ships with so many embellishments, they might as well be privateer ships. This is no excuse. Why do Imperial ships have to be bogged down with their uniform colors and low mass while Rebel ships routinely violate canon with their over-personalized textures, not to mention the presence of A and B-Wings before they were invented.
I mean, is there a new continuity rule I'm not aware of in which all canon may be violated, unless it screws Imperial players?
Before they were invented? Aggressors and Oppressors never even existed!
You talk like as if the Star Warsgalaxyreallydid exist.

obviously, the only thing that truely makes SWG "Star Wars" is two things: Hawtpants and Dwarf Nunas. Without these two things it may as well be called Star trek Galaxies (which is actually being made)

Yeah no to customizing imperial ships its bad enough this game is so far from starwars we dont need pink ties flying around because you cant express your individuality any other way ingame. christ next you'll be asking if the tie flightsuits can be different colors. then it will be why cant i put whatever logos i want on my decimator it should have the rebel alliance logo cuz rebs can put it on their ships.
actually i think that disruptors and heavy blasters on imperial craft should always fire green but thats just me.
also think they should have added the tie avenger and tie defender but whatever
