Well if they did that they would have to change the system entirely. If done yoru way, there would only be 5 Rangers, 5 Bounty Hunters, 5 Combat medics, 5 Doctors, and so on. What I 'm getting at is that Master is the basis for many other professions. So your Idea is much more complicated than it sounds. And what about those people who just bought the game? They will never be master because they should have gotten it on release date?
Whenever I read these posts, I always wonder if the poster would feel the same if they werent one of the "5" with the knowledge that they never would be.

Heh, I am one of those that would never be, and it doesnt bug me at all. Of course the whole concept would change, which is why it will never happen now. There are many many ways things could be done to allow the advanced classes with a system like I suggested, but it's pointless to think about them, it will never come into the game.
However, I do beleive that trying to keep a stopgag on the MP population in any way is a good idea. And since this would be the only way to do so - sionce the AI will never be good enough, keep it this way - you don't have to be a MP - they can put a quest that will allow you to use the multiplayer ships or what not.
