I would say as a novice you should stick to the 2hcurved...I have a very good one and it is a grind machine weapon. When you get master techniques and master Finesse you can probably use your power hammer exclusively. A cleaver is meant to be the intermediate weapon..but they are so hard to come across I never know what the stats on a good one is. I am going to get my cleaver sliced...hopefully for damage. At that point I will probably use it more, as it has higher min damage and with Master Techniques the speed is not an issue.
the vibro axe has light armor piercing, as opposed to medium, and i think it is slower than the other weapons..
but the two handed axe is quite alot like a cleaver, simmilar damage (i got one 28% speed sliced and it is just shy of the damage sliced cleaver i have) it has better range mods than the cleaver, simmilar speed, lower action and mind cost, but a higher health cost, basically if you are a trandoshan or any other species with high health substats, and low action and mind, the two handed axe, and the powerhammer are technically the best weapon to use, as you wont kill yourself with a few specials.
a good cleaver with a good slice is better than an average hammer with a really good slice.
Get and use the clever until you can find a master weaponsmith to hook you up with the best hammer that can possibly be made (550+ dmg and 4.6 speed ish, after a slice)
My hammer, 5.6, 562 dmg cant even touch my 3.5 268 clever. cause if you miss with hammer once, you might be hurtin.
