Unfortunitly you will not be able to control GSP, your best bet for a pet is either a Male Roba (found on Talus) or a Grassland Slice Hound (found on Corellia). Both are real good pets I have used the Roba for awhile hes a good soild pet. Slice hounds are good also they have kinetic resist around 30-35%, also they are easier to obtain. Head north-west from Kor Vella, they are normally in the hills and mountains. If you are on Tempestsend me a tellto Silverback I have one I can give to you.

IIRC the youngest gronda I've seen is around CL18 so you'd need a skill box or two in order to control one.

Also if you do go with a roba or a slicehound I'd recommend getting two so that you can rotate them out when one gets beat up some and still keep hunting.

is a GSP 1 1 x xthen ?

I'mCH 3 2 1 3, and I went to talus this evening , located a couple of GSP babies, but the radial didn't offer me the "tame" option.

did you try /tame on it? sometimes the radial is messed up. even when the new patch is live you'll have enough control levels for a GSP, so you should be able to tame it now, and continue to use it later. must have just been bugged.

And sorry if this is obvious, but did you have room in your datapad for another pet?

If memory serves, you get a specific message for that, but considering half the time the messages display at a random rate, it could have been that...?

yes thanks for pointing out what may be obvious. Although a late middle aged noob,to whom nothing in online gamesis obvious, yes I had room in my data pad. lol

I'm back on talus. of course, last night, when I couldn't tame them, baby GSP's were so plentiful, I was virtually tripping over them everywhere I turned ,now that I know I can tame them, the swines have all disappeared. tis the way of the world

GSP's and cowardly gurrecks seem to be the most feast or famine pets in the game to me. One day, they're all over, the next not a one. The panthers will be back, you just have to hit it at the right time.

Hiya guys.

People have been mentioning a bleed shot with a pistol. Is this /healthShot1 & 2? If it is/isn't, how do you use it? Do you shoot someone with it a couple of times and then feign death and their health drains until they die?

I'd like to know because finding a hunting group is hard for me, and I'm not quite good enough to take on the tougher creatures yet so I need some direction :-) I can kill a Tusken Raider 95% of the time but when his friends arrive I get stuffed. My initial TKA Knock Down move puts him on the floor for all of 3 seconds, but then it won't work again unless it is the first swing in combat. If I could do the healthshot and feign death thing to get XP it would be a godsend!

Let me know how it's supposed to work!

Next question: What's the best way to get holocrons? How many people do I need with me, what tactics do we need and what skill level do we need to be at? I don't want to farm for them, I just want my 5 so I can start working towards unlocking jedi ;-)

My current levels are:

TKA 1,1,1,1

Smuggler: 0,1,0,2

I am now working on getting Dirty Fighting 1 for feign death.

Cheers guys,

Razma.

Bleeds are done with Healthshot1 & 2 or with any of the HAMshots 1, 2 or 3, (ie: Actionshot2).

Essentially, the theory is, /Healthshot2; /healthshot1; /feigndeath. There are lots of different methods depending on your skills and personal prefs.

Check through this forum for how the recent changes to the creature AI affect FD. Just to prevent surprises.

Have fun

And how long does the bleed last for/how much HAM damage will it do before it wears off?

Double check the FAQ above but I think it bleeds 6 times. So if you land HS2 and HS1 each will bleed 6 times doing dmage before you need to get up and either finish it off or reapply the bleeds.

Damage varies. I've done 1400 (1&2 together) and I've done 250 (1& 2 together).Use /examine to see if it's resistant to certain damage or if you'll need a pistol with AP (armor piercing) to beat though.
