Is this right, i was a smuggler a few months ago and have just recently picked it up with my alt but i have never ever heard of this before, i dont belive this works but i thought i'd check it with you guys

It works better if it is 12 sec's from shut down, you must be naked and in the ewok village.

because slicing is random but something has to make it random, right? So if u slice after server re-set then the thing that makes it random might have re-set it's self, so therefore slices might be that little bit better after the re-set

rofl, when I first saw this thread title I thought it was a takeoff of fishbrains' . thread.

But seriously, though.. yeah slicing's entirely random yadda yadda, but that is in fact only "random"--all computer-based systems are pseudorandom and can only give the illusion of not following any patterns. If the system this PRNG uses is reset to the same place with a server reset, then the pattern should come up the same each morning, and if the pattern starts off with good slices, then there could, in fact, be something to this question.

It would be highly unlikely and highly impractical--God knows what kind of system they use for their PRNG, and with as many people using it as they do, it should be completely impossible to measure--but in theory, I think an idea like this could be true.

They haven't totally disappeared, just moved to other forums. I was reading some stuff in the Jedi forums (*ducks) and came across a post where some people were saying slicing wasn't random if you "knew the formulas". I just had to jump in and let 'em have it.
