To be honest, i have my sorosub and its EXTREMELY slow and sluggish when fast. There is only one terminal, and that is the ppl admin list. So far, i think items in there are unlimited ( i think) or theere is no place where you can find that on board in beta.
The Srorsub is HUGE. Yes, and To huge for me. THERE ARE SO MAN places to decorate the giant "Motorhome"
If you get the sorosub, then you wont need a house, lol
The sorosub aslo gots 2 elevators and a lot of rooms for seeing space battles.
Ya and for a while this will be the only multi person ship ( at least for me i can use ) because you need about 12,570,000 to master each pilot profession.
Some ppl in beta are, or were on there 4/4/4/4 tier misiions, but no one even in beta has/d the time to get Imperial Pilot Ace, or rebel pilot master, or the master for freealiance pilot, so once you get JTL, get ready for a longjourney ahead of you....

Modify it how, i mean like weaps, armor, color, shields, what can u modify on the yacht exactly?

As best as I can tell, the only thing you can change on the yacht is the paint job/texture.

Are you required to buy JtL in order to get the yacht? I also was wondering what the opening is at the bottom of the bow stairwell... If we were able to land actually land the yacht, it looks like a shaft leading to a escape hatch.

General comments/factoids about the Yacht:
- 5 decks (yes, you read that right)
- Pilot/Cockpit deck
- Lower deck towards nose/prow
- Center deck is two stories high and open - glass floor to ceiling
- Balcony/loft deck - overlooks center deck - semi-circular
- Top deck - 180 degree glass view
- "Word" is item limit is 75. Takes up one lot.
- Many folks are asking for a higher item count - remains to be seen if that'll happen
- Yacht components (engine/shields/etc) can't be upgraded or modded
- No weapons
- Supposed to be invulnerable to attack, but wasn't in Beta. That was fun, actually!
- Top speed about 400-ish with Boosters - 367 normally
- Steers slowly, just like it should.
- Has a "sweet spot" like all ships, at about three-quarters/half speed where maneuverability is good.
- Hyperspace capable
- You can med up/meditate/dance/play music in Yacht
- Can hold 20 people last I heard
- Can't be traded or sold
- Paint and textures can be applied to outside of ship
??? All I can think of right now...

Do you get this on all of your characters, or just one? Also, can you claim the reward if you have not yet installed the expansion?

All.
Its based on your account info, not your toon info.
And no I don't think you can claim it until you have JTL Installed...you can try though.

You get it with all your characters.
No, you have to have the expansion installed first.

You need JTL for it the Yacht but the Flash Speeder can be used without JTL installed and enabled. It was just a reward for pre-ordering, not something that depended upon JTL content to control since it is a ground vehicle, not a ship.

Yes you get it on all chars for the account you are using.
No you cannot collect it without first having JTLS installed and enabled.
