That's rather cruel. I would have thought that the B-wing would have been pinnacle - not my beloved A-wing!
Well, any ideas on how many faction points that means? I really hope it's not in the 10,000 range - that would be crazy for anyone who is casual in their play style and doesn't like grinding Fp.
I don't think that reaching 10,000 Faction points will be all that difficult in JTL. If you are decent at working a flight sim, it shouldn't be to difficult...
Oh I hate the little things, but I wouldn't support eliminating them or giving more XP or FP though. They're a pain - but they serve a purpose in the bigger scheme of things. They draw fire and hopefully allow their heavy weapon ships (X Wings, B Wings, etc) time to attack you.
I use to love getting A Wing wings during missions which involved multiple wings - because the A Wings gave me a chance to rest - they don't hit for much and have no missles, so if an A Wing wave was launched I'd kill a few, but when the next B Wing wave launched, I'd ignore the A Wings until the heavy ships were taken out.
Yeah, they're a pain - but I'm sure if you could get the Rebel A Wing eliminated, then the Rebels would want the Tie Agressor eliminated because that's a giant pain for them.
All a matter of perspective though I suppose
Cheers

Umm, Im a rebel, but those Awings flitting around Kashyyk space are easy to kill! In an Xwing, which is nowhere near as manouverable as Imperial fighters.

Personally, I think high tier droid fighters and Aggressors are both a lot more annoying than killing A-Wings, but that's just my opinion...
As for the other NPCs, I'd have to say that the best NPC flying I've seen is consistently TIE Advanced in Deep Space. They seem to be just a tad more on top of it than the Ints, Opps, and Aggressors. Probably no difference in AI though! Probably just me and my perceptions lol.

Its not manuverablity as it is weapons spread. Chin mounted guns dont cover a very large area, so your aiming has to be right on the dot.
An Xwing has a very large weapon spread, and has a much higher hit probability.
I near miss in an Xwing isnt so bad, you got other guns that might catch it and make up for the misplaced shot. But in a Tie, if you miss, you miss wide.
