Even doh this was my first order at gamestop I must say that when I send them a mail about jtl and the beta questionI got a real answer from some one within 3 hours.

Well I e-mailed gamestop asking when I should expect to receive the Bonus CD. Here's the response:
Dear GameStop.com Customer,
Thank you for writing us today.
If you ordered online it will be available on 10/01/04.

I work at GameStop and I'll clarify that: all games are scheduled for release technically the day before they're announced. JTL ships on Oct 25th, arrives Oct 26th, and is put on the shelves on the 27th. At least that's what I've been told and the dates in the database at work are always 100% accurate and constantly updated. So as of yesterday, thats what our data told us at the store.
As far as the bonus disks goes, I have no I idea. But if I don't get mine soon, I'll be sad haha.

Sorry to be Mr. Picky but...
Your database can't be 100% correct 100% of the time (which "always" implys). Firstly, it takes a few seconds (or minutes) to update the database on release dates. If LA or SOE announce a pushback via emailor phone or something you have to boot up the database program and type it in. See the space in between receiving the information and entering it? Secondly, every human makes errors and eventually somone will type a 2 instead of a 1 or something like that.
Forgive me but I'm bored and felt like there was nothing better to do than to up my post count.

Being in management at Gamestop, I've been watching my POS system like a freakin hawk for the preorder cds to arrive (I've already reserved a copy.) It's been reading they were to ship on the 4th for a while. Today I checked and it had showed they had shipped. It usually takes my store a day or two to get stuff, so I'm waiting (not so patiently) for the boxes to start arriving.
Hopefully that will mean that the gamestop stores will start getting them within the next few days. No promises, of course, and I don't speak officially for the company, blah blah blah blah.

My credit card had an authorization for 9.99 on it now but it hasn't posted for me to see what it is-that's the only thing I've charged (the express shipping) so it should be soon.

ok guys its the 9th and I have been charged the $9.99 shipping from ebgames.. that happend 4 days ago..
but ebgames is still showing my order as not shipped and the bonus as not shipped. Anyone got anymore info on this?

I pre-ordered in-store and went in on the 8th. The employees either didn't know what the hell I was talking about or had no idea if they were going to get the disks or not (they told me they would when I ordered).
Yesterday I justhung my head and thought- "Well, at least Iwill have the game on the 26th- but I'm gonnaget pissed everytime one of those flash speeders wizzes byme."
Today- (Sunday) I called the store and they said they just came in (ON A SUNDAY NO LESS)!Needless to say- I have my disk in my hand and will load it up after work (yeah, I work on Sunday)
The moral of the story? HANG IN THERE!

So what if everything gets even more screwed up and for us that ordered online or at the store don't get the beta cds? Wouldn't that be considered breach of contract? And would we be able to ask for our money back and cancel our orders? Never really dealt with gamestop.com before this point so I don't know how they work.
