The "Jedi starfighter" is a production space fighter that was not built just for Jedi.
Then why in the Clone Wars series II (the cartoon) have only 2 or 3 jedi starfighters in em with jedi in them... i dont see clones or that in them. besides, hence the name JEDI starfighter.

I love this idea. The corollary would be that we bounty hunters could complete our missions in space and get paid for shooting down a jedi. This would inspire me to finish up mastering pilot. Five stars!

"Jedi Starfighter" is a nick-name given because so many Jedi used it. Its really an "Eta-2 Actis Interceptor" which, if you read around places such as the PnP RPG and some EU books was not built specifically for Jedi.

Dont be suprised if it is Jedi Only.
And the republic had those ships made specifically for Jedi only.

i meant for this to give a totally different vis, and if killed only lose jedi STARFIGHTER exp... not jedi exp. Getting this vis would be like having an opposite faction (PC)see you.

Dont mean to be rude, but isnt this exactly what caused several people to threaten to quit the game back when JtL came out? If Jedi got special abilities in space? I can see what your saying, but its not going to happen. And if it does, then the firespray should be BH only, and then smugglers will say that the YT should be smuggler only...it just doesnt work.

The big debate over this however is that JTL is suppose to be completely different from the ground game. There are two major problems with making the jedi starfighter strictly for jedi and having a jedi tree:
1: Many people who love JTL and PVPing in space hate the idea of jedi with special powers, since they already dominate on the ground.
2: The second the Jedi starfighter becomes strictly jedi players are gonna get angry, its the same deal with the freelance ships such as the yt-1300.
3: If jedi and JTL are brought together the fs grind will have to be altered since many pilots, me included, will want space xp converted to fs xp.
4: BH's in space should be included but your theory on getting xp is flawed. I don't thinkit would be possible to kill enough BH's in space to level and which lasts longer a jedi on the ground or a jedi in space? with current pvp 3hits take out most ships.
This is not a flame just the general opinion. personally i would like to see bh vs jedi in space and space xp converted to fsxp but not an entirly new Jedi space branch.

I agree, no special powers needed in space, and I am sure there wont be.

I disagree, just because Han had one doesnt make them smugglers only. He just chose it for its easy to hide modified compartments. I saw 2 YT-1300's in Episode 2, I am sure they were not smugglers. They area freighter ship (Han customizd his), the Jedi Starfighter was designed for Jedi from orders of the Republic.
And if people are gonna complain over one ship like that (or possibly 2 with the Grievous ship) its just silly.

It wont be brought together dont worry about it. Would be way too complex and uninspiring to do so.

Yes, leave space out of the ground game. Feels good to actually get away from the ground game and go into space knowing its totally seperate.

I wouldnt mind Jedi vs BH in space, but it should have no penalty at all if one or the other dies. Just pure fun.

space is about twitch, maybea bad idea to rpg it. I know Jedi may predict movements, etc.. but would be a pitty to nerf no-jedi players there, right?

has anyone played the PS2 jedi starfighter? Does any one disagree that Luke used the force to blow up the stardestroyer? Jedi are jedi cuz they worked so hard to get it. At least give jedi something in space other then lost exp in MP ships. I don't take my jedi in space. Its pointless for me. Making a jedi flight profession would actually get me to buy RotW.
There is a lot of hate for jedi out there. Giving us a lil love in space will anger more people cuase they are not jedi or choose not to be. Jedi is just a new listing of professions. Its a harder grind, takes longer, and jedi get griefed more then almost any other profession(yes BH get greived by jedi as well. I don't dispute that at all.)
Giving jedi a ship of their own is no different then giving imperials their ships and rebels their own ships.

Bingo, dont hear people compaining why their swordsman cannot use a LS. You hit the nail on the head. Or why a Rebel cant use a YT-1300 when Han became a Rebel and kept his ship.
Its simple, and dont need an argument over it. Half these peopel will complain (and never even use that ship) out of spite that a Jedi is getting something for himself. The grind is excruciating. And it comes with the most grief. One little reward liek a ship isnt a big deal at all.

giving jedi a jedi pilot profession doesn't nessecarily mean giving jedi force lightning in space, or an increadable EMP of force to knock others ships outa space. Just giving us out own ship, increased aim, speed and handling is more then sufficient.
