Thread: HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT JTL

LOL, yet another person thinking this is a single player game and not an MMO...
I find it funny how people complain about forced PvP yet the same people feel forced grouping is just fine, they're two branches off the same limb. Yeah it's an MMOG and grouping and or playing with others is ofcourse the main "theme" but no one should be forced to play a certain way if it isn't necessary. Especially since lots of times it's not really plausible to group. When I played the server I was established on had lost lots of people, either they quit or moved, I dunno but there was obviously a lot less people around, add that to the fact that the only times I had to play were early morning (1am-3am) and it becomes very hard to get a group together, especially if you don't belong to a guild. Not only b/c of the time of day and the fact that there's not a lot of people around, but b/c on top of those problems, a lot of the time people just don't want to spare the time to help you, so if you're w/o a guild it can be near impossible to even get a group. So now you're basically locked out of content that you're paying for. I hardly see that as a fair situation. I mean if they feel you should be forced to PvP or don't play the game then they need to put that on their boxes and on their website, "GAME IS GROUP ORIENTED YOU CANNOT ADVANCE PAST THIS LEVEL W/O GROUPING PERIOD" then there's no misunderstandings.
Personally I could care less, I saw in beta that this wasn't gonna really bring anything to the game so I cancelled my accounts. I mean they didn't introduce anything, basically all you get is ships, once you master there's no new missions, no content, you'll fly around looking stupid. Killing NPC ships will hardly be fun after the few hundred thousand you have to kill to make master. I just couldn't justify paying 29.99 for it and since I had already lost interest in the ground game I just figured cancelling was the only option I had left. The thing that really got to me though is they wasted so much time on the expansion when they could've used that time to work on the GCW and Combat upgrades which actually might make the game better. And IMO that will help the game in the long run as those two things are what you do the majority of the time, even after mastering your profession. Combat and the GCW is pretty much the only end game content SWG has and since it's broken there basically is no end game so no one has anything to do. Even the 2 to 3 days of content you got out of the monthly dungeons is gone since they even dropped that to work on this crappy excuse of an expansion. To me they just put alll their eggs in one basket and the bottom fell out. Oh well, now you just have to wait 5 months and hope the combat and GCW upgrades are good, I just couldn't see myself paying 15 bucks a month anymore, so they can give me my free 10 days in 5 months (or however long for the GCW update) and then I'll see what's going on.
ps. Yeah devs, Love the way you fixed that shield bug like you swore was gonna get fixed...

I soloed Asheron's Call
I soloed Everquest
I soloed Dark Ages of Camelot
I soloed WWIIonline
Hell I even solo this game
Its Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game
Nothing in that phrase says that you have to group to level.
You group to have adventures and make friends.
there is NO solo MMO 100% of them Forse you to group to get 100% of the content. sure most can be played solo for a bit but at some point there will be some task to will need to group for.
EXA ... in EQ did you solo the plain of time? in SWG did you solo to compleat the DWB quests and get a full set of mando armor ?
