Fine, you can have a Jedi starfighter.
Oh, remember its decades out of date, moreso than the Z-95.
Therefore it will have 4k mass, and the turning ratios of a B-wing.

Sure let Jedi have thier own ships right after they fix all bugs in space , make more ships that everyone can use , missions for smugglers in space , let neutral pilots choose a side to go overt to in deep space , more space content and probably a thousand other things that would benifit everyone instead off just one elite proff.
Oh and yea jedi is a hard grind on the ground.................... but this is space

this is plain stupid.
there were NO concept ever mentioned like 'jedi fighter' in any films. there is no need to blurt out ship classes for EVERY profession so that players made 'happy'. there were no special ships around for creature handlers, entertainers, pistoleers, craftsman or etc either in sw films or in ANY sw games, those has never been mentioned.
day by day swg is turning to something very unlike what star wars was. this seems to be going out of control.
space game is way better than the ground game, and it is plain folly to screw it up like it was done to the ground.
fix the bugs and improve the space game instead of resorting to makeshift methods like introducing more ships.

Thing is...
Combat in space require actual skills and not just a series of numbers that add up to provide you with a benefit to rule other people. I know some would like to have implemented a system where eating synthsteak on the ground would provide you with a 45% damage reduction in space and that wearing PSGs would cut down damage by 40% or whatever you have on it.
Let's by all means make the game even more unbalanced and borked than it already is
/sarcasm off
Seriosly, space is the only frontier where people are relatively equal when it comes to PvP combat unless someone winds up with super looted components. (Which is already happening)
If anything, Jedi should gain a cert for a ship comparable to tier IV specialised fighters with a cutdown in mass - the Jedi weren't combat pilots and shouldn't be treated as such. It's bad enough they rule the ground game and letting them rule space would be unacceptable for the majority of the players.
We've all payed equally for JTL so let's all have equal chances of becoming what we can be in space at least.

Jedi already have it too easy on the ground. PvP is dead there because of them (well, Jedi are one of the causes). If Jedi have special abilities in space, then space PvP would become dead too.
This is all about players who either suck at or are too lazy to play the game as twitched-based, so they want special abilities to do all the work for them. Treating Jedi special in space, even with a single new ship, would be a horrible idea.
JtL was always intended to be fair and completely different from the ground game. Giving Jedi special treatment in space, just as they get on the ground, would not be fair.
Hell, stop whinning that the Jedi grind is hard. It was your choice, no one is forcing you (no pun intended)to become a Jedi. If you don't like the grind, quit. Simple as that.

JTL profs are factional, not tied to professions. Jedisplits intolight and dark.Light is rebel, dark is imperial. Hey what do you know, we've got rebel and imperial pilot professions matching with that.
Jedi starfighter certed like the firespray, fine. Any special bonusses to the engine or booster or any other component because you proved you can do a multi-month grind, no way. You want to be as good as a Jedi in space, practise, practise, practise like the rest of us.
