Hey, I'm a Star Wars nerd its what I do. BTWsorry about calling you a fool, I'm just used to being around people that know a lot about the movies, therefore when I correct someone I am not very nice.

I'd be curious as to where you think it is, but in all likelihood, it's probably on the drawing boards of the Empire'scorps of engineers.

By Return of the Jedi the Death Star II, while functional to some degree, wasn't 100% complete.A project of that magnitude, even with impressive command over various resources that the Empire had, would take quite a while tocomplete(more than3 years according to Star Wars Databank.) At best, it exists only as the various construction components that will eventually be assembled over one of Endor's moons.

Well, I'm not too up to speed on my pre-episode 4 era knowledge. It was when the prequals came out that I stopped paying attention to the EU. However, going by what was said in the first movie, Anakin has no father. He was conceived by the force.

Balance fun and realism? I play this game to get away from realism! Realism stinks. It's a disruption of fun. It's the realization that I'm going to wake up today and do the same stupid crap I did yesterday for the same low pay. It's also the fact that reality won't let me run around and cap people who annoy me with an E11 carbine. The game is fun. I have fun playing it and it's a great escape from realism. I say to hell with realism. Bring on more fun. If that means letting the death star pop in from time to time so I can blow it back to hell, so be it.

I dont think the game engine can support LARGE objects like the deathstar, also remember the space zones are pretty small (also the likely reason planets are pasted on the skybox and arnt actually 3D as in most modern space games). Aswell as problems like how much system resources would it take to render it, ever seen how much it lags around the ISD in deep space? The SWG engine was probably never intended to be used in a space sim and lacks the needed features/coding for something like this to be done :/

Just for kicks it would be funny to see a 'death star schematic' with 99999 complexity requiring 100000000000000 low grade ore among other things.

I would rather see devs put time into space/terrain battles, such as a sector of space with huge asteroids (like the one the falcon hid on for instance) and missions for teir 3-5 pilots that involved terrain flyover combat, taking out imperial mining camps or hidden rebel munition depots, etc. I would really like to see ships over planet terrain actually but you can't do that in 15x15km planets too well, nor do you want people to go krayt hunting with spacebombs.

But with the deathstar, I'd rather see 'large asteroid' terrain than deathstar terrain added. Something just has to be challanging, novel and exciting, it doesn't have to be epic to be fun.

If you go with the black hole thing in Kessel, the Imperial players could always try for a badge that says: Saved the Deathstar.

They just have to fend of hoards of Rebel ships.

But yeah, as much as fun as it sounds, this would really screw with the timeline.
