I don't have a problem with it I pretty much fly declared whenever I'm in space. If I get attacked I fight however if someone attacks me gets the blueberries kicked out of their ship then moans saying he was faction farming then calls his mate over to help out I will still attack you (and probably destroy you)

But I have great fun in pvp although as I'm in a different timezone to most of these events I'm usually asleep when they're on.

I must admit there could be more spontaneous pvp... but the organised encounters are really cool

Is there a lot of Space PvP in Starsider? I can patrol Deep Space for 3 hours straight without running into anyone on Tarquinas.

Well i near as i can tell, PvP on Bria after last patch is dead, completely, on space and ground, although i cant say for sure on the ground as im hardly ever there. My pet theory is that all the rebels on Bria are too chickenschitt to go overt in the only place that still requires and FIGHT someone... heavan forbid gaining FP's comes at a risk... *rolls eyes*.

They're all to busy strutting about, talking the talk, but not walking the walk, and accomplishing nothing but making my factional perks cheaper.

Ok i admit it, im getting bitter

( Now watch, next time i login ill acutally see one and he vapes me )

There's a good amount of space PVP on Starsider. You can't always find a fight, but we have weekly events that get 15-25 pilots on each side, and these tend to create rivalries that flare up with some regularity. A group of Rebs will head out to Kessel and go on patrol, for instance, which is the known "territory" of our server's best Imperial pilot guild, and in turn will get them scrambled and up into space. The weekly events have stirred up a bit of pride as to who's beating whom for space superiority, so any report of the other side being up and overt will be met with resistance.

It makes for a pretty good mix of designated and spontaneous PVP. We don't have fights all day all week or anything, but I would bet we're leading the pack in terms of PVP quantity right now.

I gotta chime in a bit...and sorry if it's already been said...

If you get single shot killed in space quickly, then you're either a terrible pilot, or were paying attention to something else. Simple as that...

Can I get single salvo killed? Sure... it's happened... but it hasn't ever happened quickly. I don't go barrelling in at my target in full booster with his guns aimed right at me. Good way to get killed... Nor do I go 10 seconds in Deep Space without pressing targetclosestenemyplayer. Nor do I try to fly a flight sim with a mouse and keyboard... nor do I bother going into DS without a fully loaded and prep'd ship that I know where the turning sweet spot is, and all droid programs readied...

I've had firesprays have to shoot me 3 or 4 times, I've had oppressors shoot me twice and I still took them. Yes it's totally twitch based, but more than that... Find yourself some great shields... then have shield shunt 4...back it up with some armor you can fit mass-wise... the moment your shields take a hit or even if you think they're gonna take a hit... shunt... Most pilots are so cocky about one shotting you, they think they already have you when they press the trigger... Easy kill for me.

And remember this, speed is life yes but hight Y/P/R is more important than just speed... If he can't get his guns on you, he can't kill you and odds are he's gonna make a mistake that you can take advantage of...

I fly a Krayt Gunship... All RE'd equipment... I've got a 2588/2588 15.8 shield... I've got a 3.8k, 3.5k, and 2.8k guns each RE'd... I have an engine that's in the hight 80's for Y/P/R and 85 for spd. I've got a fast droid some decent armor... and I always fly with RO3,E03,WCO3,WO3 running, with shunt 4 ready... I use a Saitek X45 Joystick/Throttle/Rudder system. I have had dogfights with Firesprays, Oppressors, that have gone on for 30 seconds without a single shot being made... I use tactics and strategies to fool opponents... I've been beaten of course, but I've shot down more than I've been shot down... and I love every minute of it...

I'd hate it if space pvp was some long drawn out fight. You don't see space fighters like x wings taking more than a hit or two from a tie. Get real.
