Gnuut, very nice ideas on how to creatively change the combat medic profession to be more balanced.
His thread is here.

Some qoutes that stand out are:

"There are issues with the CM profession. However this is not the fault of CMs since we are only using what the DEVs have given us. They intended us to do damage and that's what we do. However we are supposed to damage other players not the GCW. The changes I propose are what I feel would balance out our profession. They would keep us in a support role yet it would still be an important one. It would also ensure CMs use ALL the schematics in their crafting tree."

"The problem with Poison -
Poison kills quickly and ends battles fast. It inherently ends PVP since the Doctor cures can't keep up with multiple CMs tossing."

Very intelligent ideas I much favor a positive and vibrant change to your profession than a dull thud with a nerf bat. Check the thread out!

Personally, even as a CM, I think we are far too powerful. I, a 4404 CM and a non-master Rifleman took on 6 buffed, Overt, GTEF rebels and still won. From the tags they had up, some were masters, butmost had at least one line finished. I counted a fencer, master commando (poor them, we foughtso neara lake), 2 TKMs and some other random professions. We killed them with ease.I was KD/Dizzy'd but my AoE poisons ticked them down so that my rifleman teamate just headshot'd them and used snipershot. This is wrong. There is no way that 2 non-masters should be able to take down 3 masters with support.

On a better note, I want Master Rifleman now. Best way to grind fp now.

I pvp every single day for several hours in both large and small groups. We have almost no problems dealing with cm's as we have very capable docs who know whatthey're doing. This post, and posts like it, do nothing but show the pvp noobishness of those who write them. Sorry, but it's a fact, if you find yourself dying to cm's you need better docs. YOU need to change, not the profession that you obviously don't know how to deal with.

These posts are the exact same thing as the tka nerf cries which can all be answered with "kite them". You have the solution, docs, accept it and move on.

1: not being able to train when I have the XP for a skill. I love the missions. The content is great. I dont mind leveling sideways even. (Even if I'm forced into skills I really dont care for) Not being able to train when I have the XP for a skill drives me up the wall and makes me scream

2: Forced grouping. I dont mind needing to group at master for the high level content. But being forced to need large groups (10 person or more!) just for a tier three mission is nuts. I prefer being able to solo my missions cause most of the time, I cant raise a group. I dont KNOW any privateers, and I need to run to a friendly imperial guild and a few friends for help every day now.

3: privateer backup. Rebs get rebels that kill everything but the rebels and their group. Imperial get imperials that kill everything but the group. Privateers? We get backup that shows up whenever it feels like it, and attacks our enemies, us, and our group!

4: Forced PVP to get master anything. I am anti PVP. I shouldnt be forced into PVP. I pay my $15 a month to be allowed to make my own decesions.

5: Lack of quality items from shipwrights. Shipwrights can make stuff, but the loot components are 2-3X better half the time! Let me show you my ppoint of view here. I just blew you out of space. your ship is debris. I loot stuff. I get an engine that kicks rear off something any shipwright can make, even at master, and you werea tier 1 scyk I killed in passing. Anyone see my point here? Space debris off low level ships should not blow away master ship components.

I dont KNOW any privateers, and I need to run to a friendly imperial guild and a few friends for help every day now. Well this is the first MMORPG that i've played where there wasnt alot of grouping, most MMORPG's require groups to move on at a normal pace. Try joining a good guild, alot of people in guilds have started doing alot of grouping with JTL.

3: privateer backup. Rebs get rebels that kill everything but the rebels and their group. Imperial get imperials that kill everything but the group. Privateers? We get backup that shows up whenever it feels like it, and attacks our enemies, us, and our group!

You dont 100% ever get to make your own decision in SWG or any MMORPG, you have limits on alot of things, from skill points, to species, to what you can do with each class. Sorry but what are you going to do after you complete all of pilot? you wont need xp anymore, are you just going to go up into space and shoot at NPC targets for the rest of your JTL life?

Ok this remark isnt fair to the Shipwrights, JTL went live 7days ago, not every crafter can grind up a crafting profession in one week, im just now starting to see accual shops with ship chassis blueprints, and ship parts, you cant expect a brand new added crafting profession that is only a week olde to have a large selection on every server or even every major planet.

Just my opinion on your thread, no more no less..............

u probably have to disable it first by taking out the wpns/reactor/engine then try inspecting & docking. BTW, u need to be VERY close to inspect and/or dock
