I don't think that the B-Wing should be as maneuverable as the Krayt. But let's compare the hard numbers from SSnuggles FAQ:

B-Wing: 4 Gun Mounts, 2Missile Mounts, 240K Mass, Y Accel 50, P Accel 50, Roll Accel 20

Y-Wing Longprobe: 2 Gun Mounts, 2Missile Mounts, 170K Mass, Y Accel 70, P Accel 70, Roll Accel 30

Krayt: 4 Gun Mounts (1 in turret), 1 Missile Mount, 210K Mass, Y Accel 100, P Accel 100, Roll Accel 50

Tie Oppressor: 2 Gun Mounts, 3 Missile Mounts, 170K Mass, Y Accel 100, P Accel 100, Roll Accel 50

Take a hard look at those stats and tell me that the B-Wing is balanced compared to the other Master level ships.

Alright, no go easy on me, I haven't played/posted in several months

Anyhoo, with regards to the fact that the B-wing is arguably the most advanced fighter in the galaxy andwas intended to replace the Y-wing in it's role of being a bomber/assault craft (Something the Y-wing was never really meant to do, but that's what the Rebels used them for after introducing the X-wing), I just think it's a little odd that it's acc/dec/roll rates are so pitiful. Then again, from the viewpoint of balancing out the different faction's ships, having comparable stats to that of the Krayt and Oppressor could be unbalancing.

So what if the B-wing had the same acc/dec/roll rates as the Y-wing? Still not as manuverable as the other 2 craft, but I think just enough of a boost to appease the Rebs without harming the game.....Of course, what do I know? I'm just guessing here, and I'm REEAALLY tired

Anyway, whaddya say Coran, would that work? Oh yeah, and a little off topic, but does anyone have the performance stats for the Firespray? I'm just trying to figure out how a patrol craft with a small cargo bay and crew quarters is somehow 30K lighter than a B-wing fighter? Thanks!

*You know, having one star next to your post, doesn't mean that people liked your post a little; It means that they disagreed with you and/or your post, and took the time to let you know it.
Of course, that being said, all of my posts are going have one star now.

I like to fly B-Wing on corvette runs. Basically it's ok with me if B-Wing has lower roll and pitch rate, because it's bombing role and heavy mass. But the problem it'shard to center or stabilize flight after turn and hard to steer because it always sliding sideway on the direction of last turn on the next turn. It took more effort to mastered this ship compared with other rebel fighters. I hope dev will give some adjustment about this. So, i don't have to spend a lot a money to buy firespray for better handling master ship.

Slow, steady movements on the stick and you'll have no problem centering. The slide can be used to your advantage, easiest ship to fire sideways with. Slides can also be countered by engaging the booster for a short period. I love the fact that you need some actual tactics and skillto be effective in this ship. Most other ships allow the Target nearest enemy and chase till it's dead to be used with imputinity

No other single player ship allows you to shoot one enemy with the top gun and another with the bottom gun (if they're close together),very satisfying to blow two ships in one pass

I have yet to meet a rebel pilot in an Xwing that inspired fear or aprehension. Rather, i tended to lick my lips and think.. "Hmmmm yummy". That said, the Xwing is the best overall chassis for most use in the rebel aresnal, but id go with an A wing for PvP. Very hard to hit ship.

Yeah, that's what most non-Alliance pilots say before they meet a decent X-Wing pilot. hehehe. A good X-Wing pilot will nail you during the merge before you even get the targeting reticle cue against the X-Wing. The A-Wing maneuverability and size are nice, but it's outclassed by the Tie Interceptor and Tie Advanced. It *will* eventually lose a turning fight against either craft, given equivalent skill pilots. Plus, if you're using an RE'd Level 8 shield on the A-Wing, there's no gun that you can put on it that will "one shot" another player.

I used to fly the X-Wing in Deep Space all the time. During that time, I had a 3:1 kill ratio in my favor, primarily against Tie Advanceds. Go figure.

It took me longer to do the teir 4 duty mission than it would have in my x-wing, but it isn't supposed to be a fighter.

It can go just as fast or even faster when you get it tuned with good RE'd components and, more importantly, develop the feeling for flying it and the tactics that are effective with it.

Do NOT try the chase 'till it's dead method with the B-Wing, it's too slow turning for that. A tactic I found working very well:AI likes to make distance then do a strafing pass, watch the radar for a wing to do this. Since they usually do this in wings of 2 or 3, you can take half the wing out while they're making distance, the other half when they're starting the pass. No matter how manouvrable your opponent is, during this kind of action he's hardly moving in your sights.
