Thank you for that reply. One more question. What are my PVP options as an Ground Imperial Freelance Pilot. I'm a little confused. If i become Special Forces on the ground, where would i have to go to engage Rebel Pilots in PVP? Kessel System only? I'm reading that we cannot get into deep space. Is that limited to Rebel and Imperial Pilots? And if that is so, will there be plans to implement Freelance Pilots? Hmmm, more than one question. Thank you for your time.
- PvP option are the same as everyone else. With one exception (and its a current known issue): After your first trip to Deep Space your "ship" will be aligned with the faction you choose for deep space in Kessel. This will remain until you re-deed the ship.
- Ground on-leave/combatant/specforces have no relation to your space overt/covert status. Youspace faction will be in relation to your ground faction, but the 2 systems of covert/overt are seperate
- You can go overt in space at any of the "Imperial I, Imperial II, etc" space station in any sector. Once this happens you will be able to engage any other overt Rebel player. The only restrictions are on FP gaining. You will not be able to gain FP in deep space as a privateer pilot. You WILL be able to be go to deep space and "declare" for the empire and be open to PvP using the "Last Nav" station in Dathomir space.
- But here isyour "problem" you were asking about: If you first declare "overt" as an imperial (or rebel) you will not be able to enter Deep Space as an overt. You will need to land and be set to "covert" again. ((When you enter deep space you ARE open to PvP from the other side. You just can't be "Overt" first. So PvP yes in DS but FP no, Overt allready and want to enter deep space? well this is the "pain" part, you have to go covert first.))

So let me ask this...
I am currently a 4443 Rebel pilot with enough XP for 4444 once I finish these crazy missions
If I decide to do the remaining 2 Rebel pilot Ace professions, do I still get any bonus XP for completing them? Or is it only if you complete Pilot in the different factions that you get the bonus XP?
Yes, its tough to explain well, but:
You will get your first xp gain (1+1 xp) after mastering a squad in any faction, so
- Master 1 rebel squad and you get 2X xp
- Master all 3 rebel squad and you get 2X xp
- Master 1 rebel squad and 1 Privateer squad you get 3X xp
- Master all 3 rebel squads and 3 Privateer squads and you get 3X xp
- Master 1 rebel 1 Privateer and 1 Imperial squad and you get 4X xp
Clear as mud???
Yes thanks heaps. That makes perfect sense.
I will just need to reread the new system for resigning from a faction and taking up a new one. I am a little confused about this as if I am reading correctly, the penalties for doing this are quite high. People are suggesting NOT to leave your current faction as you get "screwed".
I probably need to read it again a few times to completely understand it. But then again, I am not a player that has spent too much time in space. I started neutral on the ground/rebel in space - now I am Rebel on leave.

I am currently an RSF Master Pilot but I am declared Rebel on the ground. Of course as an RSF pilot I am imperial aligned in space. I woud like to be able to gain rebel faction points in space. Is there any way to do this as an RSF pilot? If not I would love to be able to continue to use my current freelance ships but would not mind changing to a different squadron. If I drop my skill points and change over to the Smuggler's Alliance and regring to a Master Pilot will I be able to gain Rebel faction points or do I have to be a Rebel pilot to gain faction?
